Great finish.- but beware
There is one problem I had with this product - I’ll come to that in a moment because I need to make it clear that I am very happy with the finish. I used a microfibre roller and a large paint bucket to apply the sealer to my patio after I had cleaned it with industrial strength bleach. This worked really well because I wanted to avoid puddling in the slab trough areas and the roller helped prevent this. I have a larger patio by the house so this was effectively a test area to see if I will use it on the main area - and I absolutely will. It went in well with the roller and dried relatively quickly. I did leave it for a few hours but you can probably walk on it much sooner. I used about half the bottle on the patio which is roughly 25m squared. The problem I had was I didn’t use gloves, got it on my hands and it’s quite sticky. It didn’t irritate the skin but it’s something you want to avoid. Great product, good finish, I’ll buy more to do the rest of my patio now!

Great cheap and effective
Great all round sealer that i used on a 30+ year old block paving drive. I carried out two thin coats with a pump sprayer. It goes on milky but quickly dries. Only problem I had was the wind spraying it on. But it goes on even and with 2 sprays.

Easy to use nice product
Great product, water/rain just trickles through joints now. Pleased with finish. Will re-buy again when needed.

Good coverage and easy to apply
Sika are good products. This seals block paving and patio slabs, so you're not constantly washing them. Good coverage and rollers on very well, and dries in very quickly. Worked for me.

Good for paving not so good for boots!
Good for paving not so good for boots! Pretty mush ruined two pairs (monad my sons) rubber boots. Thought it would just wash off… no!!! Boots covers in shiny patches and droplets. If you use this either use some old boots (you don’t want) or bag them up! 😕

A apology is due.
This is difficult because if I had written this after the first coat I would have given 5 stars. It was easy to spread covered well and looked really good. Unfortunately the second coat has ruined the look of the block paving and I’m waiting on an £18 bottle of seal remover to try to recover what was a really nice looking drive. It didn’t get wet and was put on with a roller. Apologies if you stopped reading full review. I originally gave 1 star because of result. And yes I’ve had to use a seal remover and result is the second photo. Now the reason for changing my opinion. I have re sealed again. The third photo shows the paving just after application. You can see the two lines of sealant. I had left these to dry, the first time around, and left it to be absorbed. Of course that didn’t happen and the white lines stayed. So when applying and you get these wet lines gently use the roller to distribute the sealant for an even finish.

Patio sealer with the appearance of expensive PVA adhesive.
The Sika patio sealer easy to apply by roller or spray but the roller preferable as seems to cover more evenly and work into the surface, in fact also seems to use less liquid than spraying. Once applied a second coat can be made after about two hours which is needed, my use was for a concrete patio and obvious one coat inadequate, the sealer is sticky, odour and appearance very similar to diluted PVA adhesive but does take 24hrs or more to dry completely dependant on temperature, expected rainfall should definitely be avoided. After drying the sealer does leave a waterproof, Satin shine clear surface that is fairly resistant to abrasion by footwear or lightweight traffic of any kind such as plant pots in my case. The present persistent rainfall of the past few weeks does give indication a third coat may be needed as would I expect do regular bi-annual coatings also, however for the present the sealer seems effective in it’s protection of the concrete stain used and providing water resistance to the concrete surface.
