I plugged it in. It powered up. I was able to read and copy floppies that were over 20 years old with no problems at all. There were of course a few that didn't read but that was not a problem with the device. Excellent buy.

I can't recommend this drive enough! Works great. You can tell the manufacturer is driven towards customer satisfaction, too. It's a breath of fresh air to finally receive an item with plenty of actually readable and helpful literature included, even a kind 'thanks for purchasing' card. You'll be glad you purchased this one!

I had some old 3 1/2 inch floppy disks that I could no longer read since the readers are not currently on any of my computers. However, after purchasing this 3 1/2 inch external floppy disk adapter, I was able to read my old floppy disks. I would highly recommend this external adapter if you need one. It worked very well, and was very easy to attach to my existing computer.

Disc reader was easy to use although it couldn't read my floppies or maybe they weren't compatible to be opened on my computer?

Upon cleaning my warehouse, I stumbled across quite a few of the floppy disks that had my grandchildren’s photos as they were growing up. I showed them to my husband Husband as I had a lot of of them and I said I have no way of looking at these, but I don’t want to throw them away because those are very good memories. So he ordered the floppy disk reader 3.5 inch external USB and AC floppy disk reader. You can’t imagine my joy when I was able to insert a floppy disk into the reader and see 25 year-old memories come back to life again. I absolutely love my floppy disk reader, and it was very well worth the price. The happy memories it brought me was indescribable. If you find that you have 3 1/half inch floppy discs from years ago don’t throw them away invest in a floppy disk reader and enjoy those memories because soon they’ll be gone. I highly recommend this product. It was very easy to use on my laptop computer. The drive quality is very smooth. The speed is a little bit slower, but that’s OK. It’s very durable and the storage capacity is almost endless when you’re looking at these memories of the past. In my pictures is just a few of the floppy discs that I have.

This did exactly what I needed it to do which was transfer some old photos I had stored on floppy disks. It acts kinda quirky sometimes, but the speed and usefulness make up for that. It is very compact in size and simple to operate. Just plug it in and go.

Would give this a zero star, if it was possible. I tried numerous 3.5 inch floppy disks that I had with stuff on them. Some it would not even read at all. Ok, some might no longer be good, fine, but most of them, all I could get is the root file allocation table listing. I couldn't copy a single file from any floppy disk to my local hard drive. Even one as small as 3KB. This was a waste of money. Go ahead and buy this if you want to waste $15-$20. Since all of the rest of these listed on Amazon look pretty much the same, I suspect they are all just crap from China.

It worked to retrieve data from some old floppy's that was lost on my hard drive.

Works great with my son’s computer. Works the way it should.

All it has to do is read the diskette. That it does, every time.

Works great, very easy to use, just plug it, insert your diskette and there you go. Great product.
