Very high quality
It is replacing the part from a previous lamp. The original lamp piece was plastic so it broke. This one is heavy duty metal with a real vice grip.

WAY better than the in-box Bostitch clamp
I bought this to replace the in-box clamp that came with my Bostitch desk lamp because it was awful, and this clamp is miles better. Now my lamp doesn't wiggle around in the base and fall to the floor (especially helped by the screw that PERFECTLY fits into the notch on the lamp), and it also grabs the very narrow edge of my desk far better than the factory clamp did.

It's a Good Lamp Clamp
The seller was great - product got here as soon as I could wish and it was packaged adequately. The product itself, I had to ding a star because the 1/2 inch post hole was a little too tight (I think because of the powder coating or paint) and I had to force the lamp into it. The lamp post doesn't sit all the way into the hole, but it's enough to hold the lamp up securely so no big deal. The clamp is sturdy and heavy and well built. I like that it will work in various orientations. I would recommend.

Poorly designed clamp
The clamp is very sturdy but very poorly designed. I have 2 lamps with 1/2” mounting posts. The clamp has several mounting holes and none of them fit my lamps. Two were too small, one was too large and the third, vertical hole, had a plastic insert that made the hole too small for my lamps. Fortunately, I have a 1/2” drill and was able to enlarge the plastic insert so the lamp mounting posts would fit.

Much better than original with multiple mounting options
Nice heavy duty clamp with multiple mounting options for my lighted magnifying stand so you can turn the clap either direction vertically and horizontally with thumb screw to secure.
