External Antenna, Reliable Connection
Great relay - it just works. The external antenna gives it connectivity far superior to other relays with just an internal antenna, which makes this relay a great choice for difficult locations. I am using one of these in a metal shed inside a grounded, metallic electrical box (antenna poking out of the box) and found no issues whatsoever.

Finally, my ceiling fan is smart
This relay is well designed and constructed. It can power larger fans, many similar products do not. While on the large side it includes two independent controllable outputs which is perfect for a fan with attached light. The included, antenna allows the relay to be hidden within a metal fan housing. The package also includes a plastic bracket which I found very useful. I did find the bracket' which is supposed to hold the relay with plastic tabs friction mount, to need a little work. It seems to work well if attached to a wall but I was forced to mount it upside down in the fan housing. Space limitations meant the relay was very close to the revolving fan blade mounting bracket. The vibrations caused the relay to partially slip out of the bracket, falling to within a few mm of the revolving fan mount. I solved this with duct tape and the installation is now secure. My only quibble is with the antenna with a self sticking pad on the end. Again with revolving fan blades, it is very important the antenna is secure. I cleaned the painted steel fan housing with alcohol. Let the surface dry and pressed the adhesive pad for a full minute. It seemed to be secure. But, after several hours of the fan running, the adhesive failed and the antenna almost became entangled with the fan blades. Fortunately, I caught it in time. I reinstalled the antenna with black duct tape which is not very noticeable in my case as the housing is black. I coupled Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 with the "Aqara Smart Light Switch (with Neutral, Double Rocker). I now can control the fan's on/off and the light individually. I can preset timed operation and contol both fan and light through the Aqara Ap or through Alexa.

Is this a reasonable trade-off? larger than comparable devices but more robust
Huge. Relative to most compact in box switches this one is near 2x the size of others I've used before. On the other hand only 1 of those were dual relay but still 1/2 the size easily fitting behind most switch or outlet types. For USA exterior usage to control 1 duplex outlet (each receptacle on a relay) I had to install a dual gang pvc surface mount box with wet service in use cover box just to fit this giant in 1 gang space. It's too tall wide & deep to fit along side or behind any outlet...might fit very snug to a simple single dtsp switch ๐คทโโ๏ธ. If you were to install it in a deep plastic single gang new or existing construction box you may be able to get it to fit, but I'd recommend using stranded thhn wire over solid romex for the terminations between device and fixture. It looks and feels substantial so they get kudos there. In the US we really don't use din rails all that much but I certainly have had cases where it could come in handy for other purposes. Functionally I like it. Being it's zigbee saves some wifi bandwidth in a residence with 200 plus ip devices. The switch or sensor connections give it additional flexibility for usage. The power tracking, scenes & automation abiliies work as expected. Also appreciate substantial lugs which can accept 12 gauge wiring and sufficiently torque it down without fear of stripping the threads. It would be nice if set up (schematics) were included in the print manual since the aqara documentation for it on their website is near impossible to locate. Still feel it's a skoche overpriced for what it is. But it definitely tries to make up for that by doing it's job well while being we constructed. If they could miniaturize this more perhaps by going w SSR or triacs over mechanical relays it would be a real winner.

Made my mechanical doorbell chime smart
I was able bind a T2 relay to my Aqara g410 doorbell so that my mechanical chime ding-dongs when someone rings my doorbell. It was reasonably easy to set up and small enough to hide neatly behind my chime. My only (minor) complaint is that when adding my doorbell to HomeKit, the T2 relay is added (and unremovable) as a pair of switches. I've hidden the switches in a "dummy" room so it's at least out of sight for users of the Home app

Great for a switch where you canโt really put one.
Put this in line to a security light on the side of the house. We hated pulling into the driveway with no light on the side of the home that has woods there. Pulled a line from the panel and ran it in conduit. Just before going outside I dropped a junction box and put this in. Already have supplies ordered to run a second light up the backside of the home too. Have it set with a motion trigger on the drive so when we pull into the drive the light turns in for 5 minutes. No switch, and not just a general motion light - Triggers with a specific spot and you can turn in via the app (I use HomeKit)

M2 Hub needed firmware update - perfect after
The first night I tried to add the T2 it was hard-wired in a ceiling fan canopy. It failed to be added to hub twice. I removed it and put the wiring all back. The next day, I took an old extension cord and wired the Live and Neutral directly to the T2 as a matter of convenience, this time much closer to the hub, but it failed again. Since I was sitting at the table and not standing on a ladder with my hands full, I saw the app had a message suggesting checking 2-4 things, including that the hub was on the latest firmware. It wasnโt. After the update, the T2 was able to be added, no problem. Iโm using it to allowed remote, independent control of the light and fan in an otherwise dumb ceiling fan. Works both in the app and also using the double rocker switch WITH NEUTRAL for a physical remote, having programmed the buttons to operate the T2

Good product but lacks documentation
It worked pretty well with the hub I already had and the Aqara app is pretty good. My only problem was lack of enough documentation. I knew how to work with a relay in wet/dry mode but had difficulty figuring out how to power the relay. The manual doesn't specify what the DC power requirement is in dry mode and I wasn't able to make it work with a power supply. After reading forums ended up connecting it to 110v AC. A bit of headache wiring.

Very good two gang smart switch.
I purchased this Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 with Zigbee for its ability to control a ceiling fan with a light, turning on or off the fan or light independently. It does a great job with that, and it does much more, as well. You can configure it as a dry relay, pulse or switch, for garage doors, gates, and such things. It comes with a stripped and tinned patch wire to connect the load to the two switches for a powered switch, or simply donโt use the patch wire for dry connections. I use the Samsung Smartthings app for most of my smart devices. Initially I had significant difficulty because if I paired the switch to my Smartthings hub, it appeared (and worked) as only a single relay switch. If I connected it to an Aqara hub, which Aqara says is required, I could not make it work with SmartThings. I donโt want two different platforms, so I scoured the Internet and found a third party driver that I could download to my SmartThings hub. Once I did that, this Aqara switch detected in SmartThings with both relays. I was off to the races, with no need for the Aqara hub or its software! This is a very versatile smart switch, and Iโve since purchased more of them.

Conforme pour une porte de garage
Produit impressionnant, et fonctionne bien pour une porte de garage. Il faut cependant utiliser un shortcut dans homekit pour dรฉfinir un dรฉlais si la porte reste ouverte (afin de la fermer)

Avoid buying this
This product didn't work for my application but the company made it right. Totally change my opinion about them.

Received an used product.
Product came in an open box, possibly a returned item. Screws were all stripped out so could not use the original, found similar sized screws to make it work but the relay itself is not working reliably. Will be returning this and looking at an alternative or replacement. Aqara does make awesome products, pity the quality control is so poor.
