I never found shoes that were the proper width and I finally have! I measured my feet and did the calculations on the exact size of shoes I would need. Searched live strong.com to see what shoes were recommended for working on concrete- Asic's Gels. Found my size on Amazon, placed my order and in 2 days arrived at my house. I loved the first pair I bought so much I ordered a second pair in a different color. I swap them everyday to allow the previous day's to dry and air out. We all know wet feet stink and wet shoes hold the stink. I've shopped in nice stores but no one ever took the time to really find the right shoes for my feet. Buster Brown eat your heart out, I traced my foot and did the calculations and finally have shoes that don't hurt my wide feet. I have been buying Brooks for the last three to four years for their comfort. I would have to say these are more comfortable, I can stay standing for longer periods (12 hours or more) without any aches. They're not as light as the Brooks so it took a little getting used to for workouts. The area (fabric) around my little toe is starting to weaken; this has happened with other shoes of mine in the past (I tend to push the things I buy to their limits and beyond). I have long, wide, flat feet. Depending on the brand I wear 12's to 13's. Overall a good buy for the price. I bought these for my 13-year-old son who is extremely rough on shoes. They hold up to school use and cross training after school. He has wore them for 6 months now and they show medium wear. He has a wide foot and is flat footed. It is very hard to find him a shoe that doesn't hurt his feet. He loves these shoes! I love them for the quality!
