Very sturdy and quite a wide opening for filling. Would have given five stars but the cap has some sort of locking ring which is a bit tricky to open sometimes but I'm sure there's a knack that will come with time. I have one already but if you have to transport these without a vehicle get yourself a wheeled trolley. Made moving them when full a lot easier.

Duncurin is caught in a perfect storm at this time of year. Or rather – not caught - in said storm! I volunteer to tend the church grounds and I like to source and plant a variety of brightly coloured things in trays from our local garden centre that they tell me will be fine. As you’ll have guessed, I know little about gardening. What I do know is that all of them need water. The church has no external tap but does have a water butt, fed from a downspout. Trouble is, this soon dries up and I have plants that are dying for lack of water. I’m sure I could ask neighbours but I am anxious not to trouble folk. These two water containers are thus ideal for taking up enough water from home – to keep things ticking over. They are easy to full from my outside tap. The wide throat means I don’t have to use a funnel and little water is wasted. Both will fit in my little boot but please note I am not strong enough to carry one full of water so I usually stop about half way or just over, depending upon how strong I am feeling. The next tricky problem is decanting the water into my watering can. I have sent for a super funnel from Amazon but was keen today to get going as the ground and plants are very dry. By placing the container on a bench and then tipping it slowly over the watering can, it is possible to get a nice flow of water into the watering can with little wastage. The wide throat allows the container to empty quickly if you are hanging on and your back is protesting. The containers are robust and do not flap about, buckle or bend. The handles are strong and show no sign of breaking off. The wide-aperture throats and secure fasteners are ideal for filling and for transporting water. All in all, a perfect and inexpensive solution to my drought problem. Happy gardening.

Brilliant water containers. I bought these ready for the forthcoming winter so my horses have water when the pipes are frozen. Just fill them both & put in the 4x4. Very sturdy & well worth the money. 5*******
