I think you want to to know if expanding and compressing pressure is the same, Yes. **Q: I own the 6” clamps and love them — can I attach one 6” and one 12” together?** A: Not exactly sure ... but if yours has the double dovetail on the fixed end they should work. The only issue I can see is if the the 6" clamp bar is a different size. Best to check the Jorgensen site... **Q: Where are these made?** A: Where are Pony Tools (Jorgensen Bar Clamps) made? Although a handful of complete products are imported, the majority of tools are assembled in the Chicago factory with globally and domestically sourced components.
