This works. I wish I had found it sooner and not wasted time and money on other products.

This is part of the Roebic septic treatment program (check out the specifics on their website). I purchased it along with the K-37 septic tank treatment and other recommended products I thought would be useful. This particular Roebic product is specifically to be used in your garbage disposal and freshens without leaving an overpowering scent. To be honest I've always just used a monthly septic treatment (another brand) and occasionally thrown citrus peels (orange, lemon) down the disposal to freshen it. This works much better! Directions say to pour 1/2 cup of this product into the disposal and turn on for 3 seconds. DO NOT USE WATER after doing this! Allow the product to work for 5 to 6 hours (I put it in before going to bed at night) and then flush the product through the disposal system after waiting the allotted time by running the disposal with hot water for 20 - 30 seconds. Use as needed (weekly) and there are 8 applications per bottle. If you have a septic system and want a product to offer 'fresh breath' to your disposal without disturbing the happy bug balance - this is it! Highly recommend it.

I guess it worked. I poured so many different things into the drain I guess one or all of them worked.
