## Description

The third studio album, it was recorded in 1975 and produced four Top 40 hits, "Gone at Last" , "My Little Town", "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" and the title track. It won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1976.

Review: PS I love you - This is a miraculously good album of relatively early Paul Simon, from 1975, his fourth of a baker's dozen, and a decade before a certain masterpiece called Graceland saw him soaring high. It opens with the title song, one of his greatest, a sadly sweet ballad of love lost, with a stunning sax break by Michael Brecker that's as unforgettable as the one in Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. The melody is one to die for too. A marvellous song. My Little Town is next, his last collaboration with Art Garfunkel, and it's terrific. They sing in harmony and in unison, and the song itself packs quite a punch. The big hit was 50 Ways . . . but there are even more interesting tracks, such as the brooding Night Game, the touching I Do It For Your Love, gospelly Gone at Last, with the quietly powerful voice of Phoebe Snow on guest vocal, the languid Some Folks' Lives Roll Easy, and the closing Silent Eyes, a lovely dramatic piano-led number. After the triumph of There Goes Rhymin' Simon, and this equally superb follow-up, the received wisdom is that PS hit a ten-year slump before 1986's Graceland. Don't you believe it ~ Hearts and Bones {1983} is the well-kept secret of the Simon canon, and a wonderful, if more modest, achievement in its own right. But this one is pure gold, with not a dud track in sight. I met my old lover on the street last night She seemed so glad to see me, I just smiled And we talked about some old times And we drank ourselves some beers Still crazy after al these years
Review: Still wonderful. - I only choose to buy "special" albums on vinyl. It's my saturday morning treat to make myself some breakfast and spin some vinyl whilst the rest of the house is still asleep. I'd put Still Crazy... amongst Paul Simon's finest albums. Sure, it's got classic tracks like 50 ways to leave your lover, Gone at last, You're kind, Have a good time and the titular track, but personally I don't think there's a bad track on it. This vinyl reissue sounds lovely. It spins perfectly flat and has bearly a hint of surface noise. The lyrics are printed on the back of the sleeve, and there's an insert detailing the musicians. The vinyl version does not include two bonus tracks included on later re-issues of the CD. I have the CD too. I'm not that bothered.
