Giants and Gems: An album Collection contains the hit singles: (Get A) Grip (On Yourself) / Peaches / Go Buddy Go / Something Better Change / Straighten Out / No More Heroes / 5 Minutes / Nice 'N’ Sleazy / Walk On By / Duchess / Nuclear Device / Don’t Bring Harry / Thrown Away / Let Me Introduce You To The Family / Who Wants The World / Golden Brown / La Folie / Strange Little Girl / Grip '89 (Get A) Grip (On Yourself) (remix) / Big Thing Coming / Long Black Veil. Review: Full circle - This is a record of a band coming full circle. To my mind, the debut 'Rattus' still takes a lot of beating. Anything after that was going to be a little disappointing and all the other LPs have their weak points (as well as may highs). I have to admit pretty much to losing interest in anything after and just before Cornwell left (was it REALLY that long ago?); they started sounding like a band marking time. What is great then about this box set, and keeps it from being a wallow in nostalgia is the inclusion of the latest two LPs Suite 16 and Giants. While the former feels like the new line-up is finding its feet, but is full of promise, Giants is a new classic: Baz has the swagger and menace of early Cornwell and the band is on top form. The Men in Black are back for sure. Review: Bargain buy! - This is s fantastic box set of re mastered editions of the stranglers earliest albums. You can't complain at under £3 per disc for the quality you get here. It's difficult to choose the best album as they are all so good! Having recently seen stranglers on tour doing the black and white album, they certainly have still got it, even without hughie. I really recommend this box set to old fans and new. Most of their work is timeless. Shows the diversity of the music released by this brilliant, rather underrated band, some true classics with some newer stuff and a couple live albums thrown in. Doesn't matter how old you are; whether it is music from your time or not- if it strikes a few chords with you, that's all that matters. Very good value for money too, I am very happy with this purchase. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/63264127-giants-and-gems-an-album-collection](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/63264127-giants-and-gems-an-album-collection) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
