Perfect for chiseling the holes for door latches. Hopefully I can find more ways to use this. I like that the end has a metal bumper so you can use a mallet to tap it without messing up the tool. I am sure you can use a hammer too, but I had a mallet on hand.

This square chisel really comes in handy when make a square mortise. When using your router to make a mortise you get rounded edges, so using this chisel makes it easier to square up your mortise. It came sharp out of the box and is a well made sturdy tool. I wish I knew about this chisel years ago.

The package even said something like "not sharpened.," and indicated that the buyer should sharpen it himself. I didn't even try. The shape of the blade makes it difficult to sharpen, but sharpening any blade is an advanced carpentry skill. I can sharpen a flat chisel and a knife blade only moderately well. Selling a specialized blade like this "unsharpened" is like selling a car without a motor. Can you spell RIPOFF?
