Does it squiz grapefruit??

I have never tried but I think a grapefruit would be too big unless you cut it into quarters, but I can't really answer that question satisfactorily. Have you tried grapefruit cut in half with brown sugar on and popped under the grill? Then cut it into quarters and eat it. Delicious!

The last thing this is is flimsy. It is very sturdy and there is no screw involved.

does this feel loose side to side where the handle joins where the pin is?

No! This fit perfectly well! I never felt it loose, however my sister use this type of juicer. She never complaiden about that.
