Gorgeous filament!
I used Flashforge Dual Color Red/Gold Silk PLA to make a gorgeous phoenix that resembles Fawkes from Harry Potter. I had a stringy failure on my first attempt because I didn't slow down the print speed for silk filament. The second attempt was successful when I slowed the print speed down by 50%. The phoenix in these photos is about 10 inches tall and I feel that the color changing looks great from red to gold. However I printed a very small one and the different colors were not noticeable. I feel these dual color silks look better on larger prints. And again, slow the print speed down when printing with silk. I had no issues with bed adhesion using my BIQU Glacier plate. I used Flashforge Dual Color Red/Black Silk PLA to make a dragon dice tower and it also turned out beautifully. Once again, I slowed down the print speed by 50% and had no issues printing. Great bed adhesion with the BIQU Glacier plate. On this one I painted the eyes black after printing.

Very pretty and my grandkids love it
This is a very nice dual color silk. Very shiny and is printing very well. Be sure to use a glue stick or magigoo when printing on PEI printbed. I damaged mine (removed some of the PEI) with one of the prints, but no problem when using magigoo..

Would purchase again...great colors
Pretty colors and was excited to use however our new3D printer was not a good purchase and wasted most of our filament. We would puchase this item again it seems to be great quality and its so pretty!

Pretty Fairy Color!
Even before I got to dry it, the print quality was incredible! The color is vibrant, and isn’t brittle in the slightest. I’ve had no issue with winding with it feeding into and out of my AMS units, so it’s been very easy to use and print with.

Professional Luster Without the Layer Lines—The Standard for Artisan Prints
I operate professional 3D printing equipment, and when it comes to high-end production, the finish of the raw material is everything. While many people are content with standard PLA, a professional studio requires a material that hides layer lines and provides a deep, metallic luster right off the bed. This Silk PLA from Flashforge hits that mark. It flows consistently through the nozzle without the heat-creep or clogging issues that often plague lower-tier silk filaments. When we are producing pieces for the studio, we need a material that maintains its structural integrity while delivering a refined, sophisticated aesthetic. This filament provides a smooth, reflective surface that catches the light perfectly, making it an essential choice for any maker who is serious about the visual quality of their work. It handles fine details with precision, and the spooling is tight enough that you don't have to worry about a failed print due to a tangle in the middle of a long run. For anyone looking to move beyond basic plastic and into professional-grade finishes, this is a necessary staple for the shop

Mostly good results
I have gone through 7 spools of this Gold Silk PLA over the last few months, without problems. It prints easily, and has a nice finish. Today however, I had a problem with very inconsistent results when switching to a new spool mid-print. I've done that in the past on the same print, and the changeover has been very subtle in the print finish. Today, the new spool had a horrible dull finish. It was a new spool fresh out of the factory package, and into the dryer for about 2 hrs waiting for the spool next to it to run out. See the picture of the results. The section on the right is the starting filament, on the left the new spool. I returned the spool.

First filament I ever used.
Stunningly beautiful results with proper settings. It's one of the best filaments I have ever used for decorations. Let the photo speak for itself.
