I've tended to stick with the well known brands for leather tools because I've been bitten in the past. This thing, however is solid as a rock and cuts very well. I used it to make about 10 belts for friends and it still cuts great. It is a little fiddly to set the width since it can get skewed, but I just use a straight piece of the leather I plan to trim to set the gap. I would also recommend clamping it down to a work surface, but I've gotten away with not doing that.
