The Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a must-have these days for many reasons. There are some free VPN service as well as browser extension that provides free VPN service but they are usually slow and limited to just few countries that you can choose from. I could not believe how tiny this device was, which was really well packaged and protected inside the box. It simply plugs into my MacBook Pro's USB-C port or it also comes with USB-A port adapter so I can use it on my MacBook Air or PC. IT's very lightweight and small yet it has 2 built-in antennas and has amazing local admin portal webserver where you can change the desired VPN setting and configuration. One of the main reason for using VPN is for privacy and anonymity as VPN hides your IP address, which means the websites and advertisers can't easily identify you or track you. This means less targeted ads and prevent tracking your internet activities. The 2nd most important reason is for data security as all internet access through VPN are encrypted so it protects you against hackers, especially if you are using public WiFi at a coffee shops or airports. I have to take my daughter to her volleyball club team practices twice a week so I go to Starbucks and work from there for 2 hours while she's practicing so having VPN will safeguard my laptop and internet access while I'm using the free WiFi from Starbucks. Finally, the other most common reason for using VPN is to by-pass geo-restrictions. as some apps such as Youtube and Netflix filters videos and shows based on the physical location of the user, which is inferred from the IP address but VPN allows you to change the location to trick the apps! So far, I used the Deeper Connect Air VPN router on my MacBook Air, MacBook Pro as well from my desktop computer where the router was plugged into a portable power bank! I always have a portable power bank with me whenever I'm traveling or going to coffee shop so I can power this VPN router with my power bank and connect wirelessly. It's been a great experience so far and I have tested with various countries as the tunnel and no problem at all whatsoever. My recommendation is to change the default admin password as well as the default WiFi SSID and password as many people will soon recognize this VPN router and can try to share your VPN service when using it at public WiFi location. It's definitely worth the price considering that I can have VPN service for lifetime and I can also use it at home as VPN router for all my home computers and laptops to share as the central VPN router. It's truly a game changer. Love it!

Not able to access restricted apps using the firewall.

A bit hard to set-up, and not super clear whether you're connected and protected or not. Signal is fine. Just can't get over how I'm never 100% whether it's protecting me or not.

I’ve been using Starlink for internet, and it really solved my connection issues in remote areas. Then I added Deeper Connect Air, and it feels like I gave Starlink an extra security shield. It’s super compact and plug-and-play, no complicated setup needed. The speed stays fast, but now I feel much safer and more private online. For me, these two together are the perfect combo for “anywhere, safe internet".

The device is almost plug and play, like I said almost. After the setup I noticed I wasn’t able to get access to random certificate/trusted sites, like known website such as YouTube, Reddit and more, I read online about a workaround and did it but it continues to block sub links, this adds more work and I’m not looking for that. It does have good coverage but quality feels poor (the housing).

small and lightweight but the signal is strong and stable. vpn features work great for privacy on hotel or public wifi. connections stay consistent with minimal drops. overall a solid little router that does exactly what it promises.
