I purchased this novel as a summer read for myself. My grade 6s fell in love with Melody and her story in our read aloud Out of My Mind this year. I will be adding this novel to our classroom library in September. I love Sharon Draper’s writing! I highly recommend both novels!

This is a phenomenal series! I highly recommend it. You will love the main character and experience the trials she goes through. You will be able to talk with your child about his/her thoughts about the character and how people treat her! Highly recommend!!!!

I'm 11 yrs old and I absolutely loved this book! It is extremely well written and the story is fantastic. I hoped that I would like it as much as Out Of My Mind and it did not disappoint. In my opinion, this is a must read book.
