Saved me from having to replace my shop vac
Drain cap was dropped down a drain and Dayton had discontinued the pump and dump. They stated no parts were available. Ordered this cap and it worked perfectly.

Perfect fit but overpriced
What is the justification for the price of a cheap piece of plastic? Yes, it does fit my 16 gallon Shop Vac which was rendered useless by someone who very careless when emptied. Not going to call him out by name. No where in my information from Shop Vac was anything pertaining to this item if a replacement was needed. Yes they have a number to call for information which instructs you to leave a message. Shop Vac, your mailbox is full!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
This item does not fit any shop vac we have (and we have three - 6 gal, 8 gal and 13 gal). Also the part arrived crushed. It can not be returned for damage or incorrect description and fit.

Decent Replacement
Lost the drain cap for my shop vac. This one ended up fitting but it doesn't fit as good as the original. You have to ensure that you line it up perfect for it to grip. That and the fact that it was pricey is why I give it 3 out of 5. No leaks when the tank is filled with water, hope it stays that way.
