Fantastic Printer/Scanner So Far
There's a lot to like about this scanner and the HP app that powers it. I've used it for scanning from the glass and scanning from the sheet feeder, and the output has been great. The printing and copying is fast and accurate, and changing the cartridges is easy peasy. (It has 4 cartridges so if one color runs out, just replace that one. This is unlike other printers where a single cartridge houses three colors.) The tabloid format has worked without issue, printing large format documents fine. I've used the scanning/printing app on my iPhone, my iPad, and my laptop. It's pretty convenient to sit in front of the device and work with whichever device I have with me to get my project done. Highly recommended.

Junk - totally user unfriendly and not very well supported by HP
I have been purchasing HP printers since 1989 - and have purchased a lot of them. This machine is the poorest technology that I have ever seen. The settings and user menus are useless and are not user friendly. While the set-up and use software that loads to my computer shows many features that would appear to make this machine easy to use do not functionally work. I just got done spending 1.5 hours trying to change the printer app to select from a specified tray for using a specific size of paper product and finally achieved "partial success". The printer would not respond to app directions for sizing the paper and selecting the tray to print from. This machine is advertised as being totally functional in a wireless environment; however, I could not make certain features operate without attaching a USB cord between the printer and my computer. What a waste of money. When I attempted to obtain support, there were no troubleshooting directions for the experiences I was having and I was totally unable to contact a direct chat or human interface to try and fix the problems. What a waste of money. I am now stuck with a $369 piece of junk that I should probably use as an anchor for my boat (if I still had one).

HP Printer Excellent Choice
Over the years, I have relied on HP printers for both my home business and professional requirements. The HP 9730E stands out as an exceptional choice, seamlessly handling a variety of daily tasks such as faxing, scanning, emailing documents, and efficiently printing double-sided pages to help minimize paper expenses. Has two trays for Letter and Tabloid paper for my construction documents. The printer is easy to setup and configure for various print jobs. The HP application makes the print, scan much easier. The HP reliability is un matched in home base printing, the speed in which the documents are processed wirelessly is great also. Color is very clear and the usage is very good from other ink jet printers that I have used in the past. I would recommend this printer for any home business needs.

HP DOES NOT PROVIDE QUALIFIED SERVICE
I will never buy another HP printer in life ---- and I have always been a loyal HP printer purchaser. I purchased this printer and the Tray 2 would not recognise that there was paper in the tray. Brand new printer - so I called HP support. The agent who chatted with me had no idea and I kept saying to her/him that the issue is hardware not software - and she/he said we have to go through this script to make it work. Well she/he ended up telling me to reset to the factory setting ----BIG MISTAKE -- my brand new printer has never worked as a result. I did not even get to print ONE Page. HP refuses to send me a new printer - they want my credit card number to send me a new printer --- WHAT ?? even though they totally see the entire chat with their agent telling me to reset the printer to the factory setting. Printer says - PREPARING --- for the last 3 days. HP reps ALL LIE. No one will call back although they promise and no one will email me - although they all promise. Sign me a NEVER HP GIRL ! I was a fool to buy another HP especially since the last one of this same type -- completely stalled with no warning within days of the warranty expiration. NO MORE HP PRINTERS FOR ME !!

Well, worth the money if you need to print 11 x 17.
I have been using this printer about two weeks now and I absolutely love it. I almost didn’t get it because of all the reviews that said it was hard to set-up. I didn’t have any issues whatsoever. I am using it mostly for tabloid size 11 x 17. I will say that there is some confusion when you first start using it to copy because you have to set the original sheet size and the output sheet size but once I figured that out, it was fine. For the price, it is well worth the money if you need to print 11 x 17. It has been a lifesaver. My only comment, is that the scanner quality isn’t the best unless you use the HP Smart app. I’ve been using that anyway, so all good here.
