works well and does everything I need it to do. A handy tool to have for that price.

I was looking to replace my very old and faulty clamp meter. This Kaiweets was not the cheapest and it certainly does not feel cheap. So far I have only used the DC current part of it which is the main reason for my purchase. I use it to check my solar and battery system and so far it has proved to be very useful. When you place it around a cable carrying DC current, the backlight comes on which is very handy. It has 2 DC current ranges, 0-40 amps and 0-400 amps. It has a very nice carry case and a thick instruction manual which I have not read yet. It is early days into my ownership of this meter so I can't comment on reliability, but I think it will last a long time.

It’s a bit fiddly to use and quite difficult to get round some individual cables to get a good reading.

First time im seeing a thing that has some serious thoughts put in about its usability. The mode selection dial is slightly off to one side and you can change it with the same hand you are holding the meter. There is a holder for one wire, so that you can attach the wire there and poke the battery terminals with the meter holding the wire. And it works okay. It has set-zero button. Without it error is 0.2A, with it it is 0.01A, but have to reset every time =( Reasonable for contactless measurment. Lots of other features too, like voltage, frequency, flashlight, backlight. Doesnt have any rubber bumpers, will likely crack if falls. Feels like everything is made from the same plastic. And wires get in a way, but thats with every meter. Quite bulky. Easy to hold in hand, but I bet they can make it two times smaller. Very versatile. Replaces a dozen tools. It is as good of a meter as I've seen. I just hope that they make it even better.

It works. I have a couple of similar products, but specifically needed to test/detect the flow of DC in cables from solar arrays. THIS DOES DETECT DC with the clamp meter. My other clamps only test for AC flow, but this was bought for DC. It does this and the figure seems about right (based on my inverter's app display), although I'm more into detecting 'presence' of DC for safety than the absolute value. This is a good product for this, and the low price and discount make the decision straightforward.

Actually it's not bad considering the price, and reasonably accurate when comparing it's measurements to a calibrated instrument, but a pity that the User Manual will not fit in to the case cover pocket (see photo) hence only 4 stars

Better than expected

this was my first clamp meter.i only discovered when looking through specs that some clamp meters only read AC with the clamp part...this one reads ac and DC but the other thing I didn't know is hardly any clamp meter will give a reading when the live and neutral are in the same cable .the live has to be seperate by itself to get a reading .so need to be aware of that .otherwise good meter

Parfait. Fonctionnement très simple et intuitif. Modèle choisi pour mesurer du courant continu. Pour répondre aux avis qui mentionnent que la pince affiche un courant résiduel , il faut prendre 3 minutes pour lire la notice .. il est bien expliqué qu’avant de mesurer une tension il faut remette à zéro les valeurs résiduelles de la mesure précédente. Cela prend deux secondes en appuyant sur le bouton dédié .
