The DJI RS4 is hands-down the best one I’ve owned so far. Setup is fast, balancing is straightforward, and once it’s dialed in, it just works. The stabilization is rock solid, even with heavier camera setups, and the motors feel incredibly responsive without being jerky or overcorrecting. It inspires confidence when you’re shooting real jobs where you don’t get a second take. The build quality is excellent — solid, well-designed, and clearly made for professionals who use their gear daily. Controls are intuitive, battery life has been great for full shoot days, and overall it feels like DJI really refined everything that mattered from previous versions. It’s not quite as stable or smooth as the RS5, but easily can be with proper technique. Functionally it’s nearly as good and just as easy to use, just not quite as capable with heavier setups. Big lenses and a red, where you need more adjustability, yes, get the 5 or a pro. The added torque is noticeable here. Smaller hybrid setups, especially APSc, save the extra money and put towards something else. Aside from that and the tracking, the stability and overall performance is fairly negligible.
