Samsung QS730D 3.1.2ch Soundbar w/Wireless Dolby Atmos Audio, Q-Symphony, SpaceFit Sound Pro, Adaptive Sound, Game Mode Pro, 8” Subwoofer Included, HW-QS730D/ZA

I have a real challenge with soundbars, wearing hearing aids and a very high ceiling (18 ft) in the open viewing area. I purchased this along with a Samsung Q90d tv and the combination with Q Symphony is outstanding for TV/Movies/Sports viewing. I haven't worked with music yet but expect great results. My only glitch was a failure to connect with HDMI/ARC. My initial set up was with Bluetooth, and Wi Fi, the Wi Fi connection was amazingly good. After a brief power outage due to a storm, I was able to connect via the HDMI/ARC so every connection is working very well. This is a great soundbar and an excellent value, for me I cannot expect more.

Perfection. Bought to pair with new Samsung QLED TV and love the sound quality and that it pairs Q-Symphony automatically with Samsung TV.

After 7 years a Bose 300 soundbar died. After using the Samsung QS730D I am happy it did. The ease of use with the Bose 300 was not very good even for an engineer so with some trepidation I unboxed the Samsung Soundbar. The quick user manual was brief and I didn't see anything beyond safety precautions and plugging the unit in. So I plugged in the HDMI cable and power cable to both the soundbar and subwoofer. And my apprehension disappeared when by magic it all just worked! No paring the subwoofer to the soundbar. Using my TV controller I turned off the sound and the Samsung Soundbar was right there. Wow. The only thing I paired was my phone and the Samsung SmartThings app on my phone and that was without issue, following the theme of this review, it just all works. Pairing the phone allowed me to cast music and adjust setting from the phone. The only knocks about this Soundbar is the remote control and the display on the speaker. The volume button is multi-functional. Pushing it down mutes the speaker and pushing the single volume button forward and back turns the volume up and down. It is just not initiative. I am happy to control the settings on the phone cause the 4 character menu display behind the speaker grill is comical at best. Alas these thing don't matter much. Oh the sound is very good too. Highly rated. Stop looking just buy this soundbar.

Very clear sound and several options for the sound mode and connectivity. I just wanted clear dialogue and compatibility with my Samsung TV. I had a Bose sound bar which provided clear dialogue without the bells and whistles (surround sound, woofer, atmos, etc.) and connected via HDMI ARC. Worked great until Samsung updated the TV firmware, then connectivity was spotty. This soundbar connected via HDMI Arc works really well with my Samsung TV. Once setup I didn't need to use the soundbar remote. Soundbar powers on when TV is turned-on via TV remote and volume/mute is also controlled by TV remote (actually I use the Fios cable remote that replaces the TV remote). Also good value: $70 cheaper than at Best Buy for same soundbar.

Very nice soundbar . Dialogue is very good. Separation is very good for a sound bar. Nice bass from sub and seperate control of sub output is great ! I have since added the Samsung rear speaker kit and it really produces good surround sound . Great seller with fast shipping ! Would buy another if needed, Very happy with my purchase ! Wireless sub sounds really good however be aware it is not small ,not an issue for me but check measurements if you have a smaller room . I am using this in a 12 x 16 room with cathedral ceilings so I lose some of the upfiring effect but that is no fault of the speakers. This bar can get Loud if you need it to be , so should be fine for large open rooms . I use this for movies and tv not music . Atmos effects can be heard even without ceiling mounted speakers so this bar does what it says it will when watching Atmos content .

Disappointed that the initial setup doesn’t work well when your HDTV is 10 years old. I had to call Samsung help support and talk with an agent. Even Bluetooth connection doesn’t hold up with an older set. Digital optical connection works well and responds back when the HDTV is turned off and back again. Otherwise, the sound quality is excellent! Especially the Apple Connect with a mobile device! Don’t miss the rear surround speakers as in the old system.

Unboxed and connected soundbar to Samsung S95F tv via digital optical cable. Then plugged in & powered on subwoofer, followed by plugging in & powering on soundbar. Lastly powered on my tv, voila the tv immediately recognized the soundbar, and the subwoofer automatically wirelessly connected to sound bar. I configured my tv to use q-symphony, which uses soundbar, subwoofer, and the TV’s speakers for a fuller sound experience.

After only five months and roughly 20 uses, the subwoofer died. Samsung’s customer service was terrible, which made the whole situation even worse. Luckily Amazon refunded me, but without them I’d have lost $390. Save yourself the trouble and buy something else.
