Perfect for the do it yourself gunsmith. The tools are high quality and the and the weight of the hammer is perfect for me. The openings in the frame are perfect for sliding out pins etc. I used it for my 2011 pistol for a trigger and ignition job and it was great.

Honestly, it’s awesome. Everything feels extremely sturdy, and the layout makes working with pins and parts significantly less frustrating. The magnetic spots are a nice touch; no more chasing tiny pieces across the bench. If you do any gun work, this kit will make life easier.

Perfectly functional.

The magnet should get better adhesive for the price of this kit. Don't lose it when you rip open the packaging. The tools fit snug and don't rattle. The tools themselves seem to be decent quality. It's larger than other bench blocks. It is a pricey kit but you're paying for the convenience of it.

First impressions are this is pretty good, but still wish it was a little better for the price. Two pins removed and the magnet (assuming it's just one) under the tray fell off and lucky I saw it on the floor. I will try to glue it back on, but this should be good from the manufacture knowing it will get some vibrations as a key function of the product. I would have loved to see some room in this kit for additional punches i.e. brass punches which do not come with this kit and/or a file set.

This is a bit bigger than the puck. Has about everything you'd need. It's the size of a long hand gun. Really organized and nice weight. It's also very grippy so it doesn't slide around. The hammer is actually nice and heavy.

This is a great little kit for the DIY people. It's essentially an upgrade to Real Avid's 'smart bench block' which is that little red puck. I have one of those pucks, and I like it, but this is a better product in every way. You can buy that little bench block separately or packaged with tools, and when purchased with tools, it's not much cheaper than this kit which is another win for the new kit vs that old bench block. The little extra cost is worth it in my opinion. Cut-outs everywhere. If you're working on a compact or a full size frame, they have three longer cuts that are made for just throwing the pistol down without having to search for a hole. You can place the frame down and know that you can just start punching and driving out pins. You've got a long groove which has some specific jobs such as long action bolts. You also have rubber over molding to protect the pistol. The actual tools you receive seem to be of good quality but only time will tell just how well they hold up. I do like how they all get integrated within the block itself making for easy storage. You get 18 steel punches, both standard and roll pin punches, which fit in a flip up tray which is also removeable. A hammer with interchangeable heads on it. The included heads are rubber, steel, nylon and brass which can all be stored within the block. You also get a couple little clamps that screw into the block so you can clamp down whatever you're working on at the time. This is obviously useful when whatever you're working on requires two hands but you still want to hold it down to the block. One handy feature which I didn't notice being advertised on the listing page but I just figured out while using it. You can open the block up, remove all the tools from within it, and put it back together without tools inside so you effectively created a tray under the block and there is a little corner on the block cut out which reveals a portion of the tray below it so any pins you punch out into the tray, you can easily grab when they fall into that corner. It's really a feature of convenience but it sure is nice and does save a little time. Overall, I am very happy with it. I've spent a decent amount of time, and a few little projects/repairs, on this block but I haven't really found anything to complain about with it. I'll continue to use it for any jobs it can handle, and I'll be back to update my review if anything changes.
