Marena SFBHS Women’s Girdle with High Back, Short-Length - Post-Surgical Shapewear Support

I am absolutely thrilled with my MARENA SFBHS Stage 1 Short Length Girdle with High-Back and Hook-and-eye Front Closure – Tummy Control. Unlike other girdles I have tried in the past, I don't have to struggle to put it on or take it off. It has helped reduce swelling and inflammation in my abdominal area, promoting faster healing and a smoother recovery. I recently had a tummy tuck and ordered this for recovery. I am 5'3" 165 and ordered this in a XL because I needed room for the abdominal board and some padding. This is the short version, and since I'm short I thought it would work. However, the straps really rub in and after half a day it felt like a sunburn. My husband had a genius idea of cutting a shirt and putting it under and has worked perfectly. The opening at the crotch works really well, even though I was concerned at first, there has been no issues so far ( underwear for discretion:)). The compression is nice, not too tight at all and the fabric has more give because it is a step one recovery and not a daily worn faja for shaping. I normally wear a size medium clothes for reference. Legs are not too tight and are like spandex shorts. Overall it is nice, but even if you are short, I would consider the taller version because of the strap rubbing issue. If not, a shirt under works fine.

LOVE IT! After surgery I was swollen and the girdle they gave me at the doctor's office was a wrap with boning that was actually hurting me. After searching and reading reading reviews I went with this one and I am SO happy I did. The material is SOFT, other girdles say they are "breathable" but that means their fabric is meshy and hard on wounds. This fabric feels nice on my swollen post surgery tender skin. It doesn't have seems on the sides like the rest, this is a HUGE plus, it is super comfy. I wanted it tight so I followed the reviews advice and got an XS, I should have probably been fine with a small, but I was barely able to close it due to its stretchy fabric. But I like that I will be able to continue use it as the swelling goes down. I am 5f 3in and the leg ends right above my knee which is great because it does not show a mid leg cut in leggings or skinny jeans. It arrived within 3 days, way faster than expected. My only complaint is the straps, they are adjustable (with a bra-like feature which is a great feature for tall people) but the adjustable thing hurts a bit the area next next to my arm pit. I am not tall and I am using the straps in the largest setting, so I think they got that part wrong. I would have preferred for the straps to not be adjustable and be made of the same soft fabric the rest of the garment has. I also wish the crotch was a little higher, it is kind of low and bothers me a tiny bit when I sit down. However for Amazon and the US, I don't think you will find a better girdle than this. I went to a local store and bought a different brand that I cannot stand (at least yet), it was more expensive and had seems on the sides, its "breathable" fabric did not feel good on my tender skin.

I wanted to love this product. First, it arrived with the seal on top broken, which made me suspect that it had been tried on. Since I purchased this as a medical compression garment for post-surgery use, this made me uncomfortable. I did try it on, and the material was amazing—so soft, with the perfect amount of compression. Unfortunately, if you are taller than 5'6" (I'm 5'8"), this will be too short for you, and the straps will dig into your shoulders, causing discomfort over time. If you're on the shorter side, you'll likely love this garment. Unfortunately, I will have to return it. Update: I ordered a Large (previously a Medium) hoping that the straps would be longer and the new straps would fit better. Unfortunately, there is no difference, and the straps are still too short. I'm so disappointed because this is by far the best quality and softest garment with perfect compression, but the straps literally cut off circulation to my arms and cause pain.

This was good support for surgery recovery. I especially liked that the crotch was gusseted. Better than the one I left the hospital with, for sure. Was a little too large, however, but that was on me not the brand. Wish I would have gone smaller in size.

This faja was the best one out of several that I tried. It was the one recommended by my surgeon for my mommy make over. Would definitely recommend and have ordered the size smaller as well.
