Budget for This Cause it’s Worth it!
I’ve had this on my wish list for a long time before I decided to purchase it since it is definitely something you have to budget for. And when I took the plunge, it was really worth it. I was looking for a composter that didn’t just dry the organic matter but actually breaks them down and is usable as compost. Even though you can’t directly add the result into soil, it still does a lot more than the other dehydrating machines. The capacity was perfect for two people as we don’t have a lot of scraps but enough that we were filling our trash bin regularly. By using this machine we were able to cut down on our waste by 50%. It’s easy to set up and use and so far we had this for more than a year and nothing has broke. It doesn’t attract any insects and doesn’t smell at all. The noise level is minimal. Sometimes you hear it turning but that’s only if it’s overflowing or if you end up throwing something like corn husk in there and it becomes stringy. Would totally recommend this for family and friends who want an easy way to compost at home.

better than lomi v1
always on, doesn't make a ton of noise like lomi v1, doesn't stink up the place like lomi v1 (after the carbon air filter is used up and you can't be bothered to replace it), doesn't get as hot as lomi v1, slower than lomi v1 definitely better than lomi v1 lomi v1, heat and having the grinder exert too much torque will eventually break the main shaft. like it'll shear off. this happened way too many times. log of issues for reencle july 11, 2026 paddle came off due to screw loosening somehow, but just put the screw back in so easy enough fix

Sooooo much better than my other one.
This is my second indoor composter. I don't want to trash the other brand too much but it was garbage, it squeaked constantly and had all kinds of issues. I have had this many months and it is doing great. No smells, the auto open feature is SO convenient when you have your hands full scraping food into it. It works great and composts meat and pretty much everything you put in it. I am careful to not put bones or heavy fibrous stuff in it. I definitely recommend this unit.

Excellent for composting and for your plants.
Very quiet, buttons are very touchy, I have dog who likes to hit all the buttons and open it. Very sensitive. So far it is working great. Defiantly nade for the floor and not the counter, but if you ha e good counter space it would be fine there also.

I REALLY wanted to love this!
I have been researching electric composters for a while, so I was super excited when I finally purchased the Reencle! I went through all of the good and bad reviews and decided it was worth a shot because I absolutely hate throwing away food, especially leftovers that can't be put into a traditional compost bin that we already have. In the beginning, it was GREAT! It was super easy to set up, you just plug it in and add the starter pack with water. I could put anything in it, and watched it turn into compost without any smells or mold. I made sure all the food was rinsed first before putting it into the bin and everything was cut up into pieces just as instructed in the manual. It never had a smell, the seal was great, and it held a lot of food! After 3 weeks of use, it started making a strange grinding noise. So I did all of the trouble shooting that was recommended. I added water to it to make sure the stirring bin wasn't too dry, I emptied out the bin to make sure nothing was wrapped around the stirring rods, I cleaned the filter thoroughly. But NOTHING made the noise go away. So I figured why not try to dry out the bin and maybe that's what the problem was because it was too thick (even though it was below the max line). Well, sure enough, the "purify" light started blinking red, and per the manual, that means there's something wrong with the fan and I needed to contact customer support. Considering this machine only comes with a 1 year warranty, and I'm already having problems after 3 weeks, I decided to return it to Amazon within the 30 day window. Because even if it gets fixed, it will probably eventually break again since it's constantly running and trying to break down food. I was so disappointed and sad! Now I'm back to square one looking for another electric composter that will actually help me decrease waste.

Perfect except for smell
Between 4 and 5 stars for me. Works super well and really quiet. Much quieter than expected. Wish it was a little bigger, but that’s OK Does have a smell. Not too bad. But does have a smell 24/7, my major complaint. Carbon filter not strong enough

I wish I knew about and had this more soon.
I love this composter. Super quiet, no smell, and super good for the environment. The design fits right in, not to look like an eyesore. Super easy to use, just plug it in and go. While not cheap, you definitely get what you pay for here. I have been using this for three weeks and I still have not had to clean or remove soil due to the large capacity.

I love it!
So far so good. A learning curve for me. I added too much water over a couple of days because it looked dry but I think it was mostly due to too much green and not enough brown and it looked compact. It was wetter than it was dry. I have had the dry function on and have removed 1/2 of the contents. I don’t have trees nearby to be able to add dead leaves so I have cut up paper and cardboard to add brown. I have also ordered some coir to add as brown matter. I used that in my previous outdoor compost and it worked fabulously to balance it and the foul odor went away immediately. I do have a foul smell to this one when it is open but I expect it to correct as soon as I add the coir. I have a lot of stuff to compost. It says 2-1/2 lbs per day. Some of my scraps have to wait until the next day. Once I’m caught up I’ll be good. I look forward to using this in my garden.

Best purchase I’ve made in years!
Best purchase I’ve made in years! This is honestly the best purchase I’ve made in years. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner. The composter is extremely easy to use. You simply plug it in and press the ON button. It comes with a starter culture. Pour it into the bin and add the amount of water specified in the instructions. Then leave the machine running for 24 hours so the beneficial bacteria can become active. After that, you can start adding your first food scraps. On the first day, I would recommend adding only a small amount - two or three handfuls of peelings. Increase the quantity gradually on the second and third days. After that, the bacteria should be active enough to handle around 600 g to 1 kg of food waste per day. You don’t need to add everything at once, just add scraps whenever you have them. The machine stays on all the time. You do not switch it off. You also don’t need to remove anything until the contents reach the marked MAX level. Once it is full, remove about one-third of the material and let it mature outside, preferably in the garden, for another 3-4 weeks before using it for seedlings or other plants. Leave the rest inside the machine and continue adding food scraps as usual. The important thing is not to empty the bin completely, because this appliance uses bacteria to compost the waste rather than simply heating and drying it like many other similar machines. As for the smell, I personally don’t notice any. Of course, other people may have a more sensitive sense of smell, or perhaps they are adding wetter food waste. I add a lot of tomato skins because we eat plenty of tomatoes at home and always peel them. I gently squeeze out some of the excess moisture over the sink before putting them in the composter. Other fruit and vegetable peelings go straight in. I’ve seen that some people also add leftovers from cooked meals, such as pasta with sauce, and that is probably fine, but personally I wouldn’t do that. We already produce more than enough fruit and vegetable peelings every day. One of the biggest advantages for me is that I no longer have to keep wet, leaking, quickly smelly food waste in the kitchen. Everything goes straight into the composter, and we now take the rubbish out much less often. That is a huge plus when you live in a high-rise apartment building and don’t want to carry smelly rubbish bags in the lift. I also have a small vegetable garden on the outskirts of the city, and I’m sure it will appreciate the homemade compost very soon.

Reencle Home Composter
I keep it in the kitchen, and it is slightly louder than my fridge, but not by much. The smell is mostly present when you open the lid, and will depend on how balanced your compost is. (took me few weeks to get rid of the yogurt smell after adding too much at once) after that I learned not to add too much stuff at once, but if i do it in smaller batches it handles all my organics no problem. So far I am very happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

Quiet efficieny
Two weeks in and enjoying the Reencles quiet efficiency; no noise no smell and better than using a food caddy or bin. We dump food waste in daily and so far it is a long way from filling. Looking forward to using the output in the garden.
