Easy to put the frame together and screw on a 40x40 canvas painting. Comes with everything you need except a Phillips screwdriver. 30 minutes to get it done. To get the frame to line up evenly, stand it up and put a screw in the top and bottom of the canvas frame. Then flip it and do the other sides. Then put in the the rest of the provided frame screws. It’s not hard and looks great. No more need for expensive frames from a framing store. These work great and cost so much less.

I found this pretty straightforward to put together. I was very happy with the way it elevated my art and gave it a finished look. It’s lightweight, another bonus. The picture fit perfectly.

Added the extra to the overall appearance. These are the same profiles from online custom frame shops, albeit not the perfect measurements to each canvas frame (1/8 to 1/4 plus and minus). For most common canvas sizes, these work really well. Lastly for the price and the optical accuracy from 3 feet and further, the price is a huge value (compared to $190+ online). Couple of techniques to assist with getting “equal” gaps between the floating frames 1) use playing cards and a good Home Depot paint stick to equally space out the canvas and frame. Do this for all the corners at the same time. 2) I noticed that the middle of the length and width still had wider gaps. So once all the corners were secured with the provided screws and the spacers still in the corners, I used additional spacers in the middle of each side. I pressed down the side frame onto the spacers, but not with too much force and secured with the screw. This produced a more unified space all the way from corner-middle-corner. If pressed too hard the frame created pinched gaps and opened up the mitered corner. 3) My brain had to work a little bit more to figure out the frame hanging clips (see pic). Clips fit into the groove and once the bolt is tightened gets secured onto the frame viable tension. My frame did not include instructions, but a single white glove and extra hardware pieces - which had me second guessing in the beginning.

This is among the better metal floater frames, in my experience. I've ordered from at least three companies and this was packaged the best - and with all the parts included - than the others. Good enough that I ordered three more. Pros: Clean look. Easy to put together. Mounting holes in the right places. Relatively inexpensive compared to wooden floater frames. Cons (and the reduction of one star): Although the packaging was better than others, it wasn't perfect. The packet holding the screws and connectors burst open and the parts scattered through the box, scratching some of the frame sides. Not terrible, but I'd prefer not to have them. The corners are somewhat difficult to get squared up.

Love these frames. I have purchased 4 black frames for my original paintings on 1 1/2” deep gallery wrapped canvas. Easy to assemble on a large flat surface using a small Phillips screwdriver for the corner pieces and a cordless power drill to attach the stretched canvas to the frame. The mitre cuts are perfect and I am impressed with the weight and stability of the frames. The guides in the frames were helpful in centering the canvas to get the perfect float distance, but I also use 8 stacks of 12 or 13 business cards to put between the frame and canvas be sure the canvas stays in place and the “float” is equal when flipping the frame over to screw the frame to the canvas. Packaging was great with both shipments. Metal brackets and screws and white gloves (fancy!) were in a ziplock bag and taped neatly to the well wrapped frame pieces.

This frame is first class. It is made from a fairly heavy metal. The finish is perfect and looks very expensive.. I doubt a professional framer would disagree with the quality of this item. It took my unframed canvas to a whole other level. It is a very big upgrade and I’m very pleased with it. I have nothing but good things to say about it , It was very easy to assemble. Just follow the directions -simple as that, and Voila!💕 I would definitely purchase again if I needed to frame another canvas, highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

Lining up the corners is tricky. And you might have to do it again after you hang it on the wall. With that said, the miters are absolutely perfect. The frame is very lightweight but also sturdy. I love the minimalist look.

If ordering a floating frame from Akfado your order might arrive without the necessary hardware to assemble the frame. This was the case for me. Also from the time of ordering to receiving the frame took 10 days. How long will it take now to receive the required hardware?

Edges are very sharp and dangerous, do not recommend

This was returned because the connection and hanging pieces were all missing. Good communication with seller, however they would not send missing pieces, so accepted the return and full refund. The four frame sides that i did receive seemed well made and exactly as described.
