Sturdy blade, flimsy handle.
The handle is quite useless so I went to Home Depot and bought a heftier handle. As you can see from the photograph, the blade was cutting holes in the box it came in. Amazon might wanna take note of that when they ship this to a customer. Other than that, the blade is perfect for what I needed it for and I’m quite happy with my purchase.

Good enough for the price
Good enough for the price. They did a pretty poor job on the paint & there was nicks in the edge of the blade. Plus the handle was a little short but other than that it's pretty nice! Works great for what I need it for!

Sturdy billhook blade, make your own handle
For the price this is an excellent tool, first off ditch the handle they give you, handles shouldn't be round or they will twist when you use it. Buy a hickory handle from a hardware store and customize it yourself, a small sledge hammer handle worked best for me, I used my belt sander to make it tapered at the top for the blade and I made the sides flat for an ideal handle. It's perfect, no slipping, I've chopped down soo many bushes and small trees with this in the last few days. Make sure you make this into a quality tool yourself, the blade is pretty great, use a wedge, wood glue, maybe even epoxy if you need to, it will be worth the effort.

Good enough for splitting shavings from firewood.
You got what you paid for. It looks sort of functional after assembly, but blade is off center, so it pulls to the side if you swing it. Grip hard on a round stick as it may twist in your hand. Blade thickness is actually 1/8 of an inch painted, and flat, not wedge as one can infer from description. Top edge is mushroomed to T-shape where thickness reaches an advertised 7 mm. I would prefer wedge, but that would lay in a higher price range.

Great Tool!
I got this and knocked down all kinds of buckthorn, shrubs, and small saplings that were in the way. The wooden handle was mediocre, and used a small screw instead of the included nail to attach it. Most of the time my hand was on the metal part where the wooden portion goes on anyway. It reminds me of the handle on a cold steel bushman. So far I have been thoroughly satisfied. I only paid $16 bucks for it. The quality and usefulness vastly outperform for the cost. I also just used an old plastic chain saw cover as a sheath even though it was not a perfect fit. It will keep me from getting cut off I throw this in the truck or tractor. I think this is a great little tool that could replace a hatchet or a large knife. I'm very happy that I have this tool!

Lucky it was cheap
Pretty cheaply made but it was inexpensive so I’ll give it a few stars but it’s a piece of steel and a cheap handle.

Better than a thin machete! Work and war ready.
The machete was delivered on the same day I ordered it. This is a handmade wide blade that is manganese infused, allowing the edge to become more durable the more it is used. It also sharpens wonderfully on a whetstone. The handle can also be removed for travel or for repair purposes. Lastly, the spine of the machete is widened to add structural integrity to prevent the blade from warping or bending. 5 stars is not enough, for a proper rating of my new limb chopper. Recommend absolutely!

It's pretty stout
I'd have given 5 stars if the handle was a bit longer. In fairness I may not have read the item description thoroughly enough. The blade was sharp and they put a stiffener on the back of the blade to add weight and prevent bending. It does exactly what I bought it for. Clearing light brush and small limbs. The handle is held in place by driving a short nail into the wood through the metal sleeve. It's not perfect but it holds well. I'd buy another one if ever needed.

It's very similar the one I used years ago. it's solid, sharp and looks easy to maintain. the one I'm looking for

Bought this because I really like the same brand sickle I bought from a different seller. Good tool seems well heat treated. This one though has a very wavy edge and is sharpened like a right handed nata with only 1 bevel on right side. I always wanted to try a rh nata so ok but if I was a lefty I'd not be happy. I can sharpen it correctly if I don't like it but someone without the ability to do so would be disappointed hence the 3 stars. The edge is EXTREMELY wavy as well but it's a tool and only 20 bucks and again I have the means to fix it. If I didn't I wouldn't be so generous with the rating. The handle on this one ( the sickle one was "good enough") isn't very good and needs lots of work. The included paperwork says the handle is a free gift and if you don't like it throw it out which for the price fair enough I pretty much have to make it from scratch with the provided on anyway.

The blade itself is OK, a little rough on the finish but usable. The handle is a joke. Short about 12" long and skinny. Feels like it would break easily or fly out of my hand. Going to have to fit a different handle on it. Not safe to use a supplied.
