Its hard to describe but it just tastes artificial and unpleasant to me. It definitely has some strong heat to it that lingers and will give whatever you put it in/on a serious bite, but it has such an unpleasant taste it can ruin the food. Ive heard others say it tastes really good (including Hot Ones, the reason i got this sauce after trying other sauces from Heatonist) so maybe mine was just a bad batch, but it definitely tastes very artificial to me. Personally would not recommend unless you just want heat regardless of flavor. **Q: What is the #1hot sauce** A: I'm not sure I understand the question but this stuff is ridiculous. Foolishly hot - dangerous. Can cause contact burns. I am not exaggerating. Do not buy it. **Q: How long will it last without opening it?** A: While I don't know how long an unopened bottle will last, my opened bottle is 3+ years old, and un-refrigerated. **Q: Does this need to be refrigerated after opening?** A: I keep mine out of the fridge for 6 months and its still good. However, it is advised to keep it refrigerated. Its really up to you.
