Delivered today and used for soft boiled eggs for supper. Was amazed at how well it worked and how perfect the eggs turned out. Will be using these often to make sure my eggs are done exactly how I need them. Wish I had gotten these years ago. Simple to use.

The product itself should work fine. I'm replacing an older one that I loved - they do apparently wear out. I'd rather not have had to buy two, but I can give one to a relative.BUT: I don't know where else to make this comment, so I'm making it here. My beef is with Amazon, the shipper. Amazon has taken to shipping more things in bags due to environmental concerns (which I do support), BUT the packaging too often causes products to arrive damaged. When the damage is severe enough, you need to either replace the item or just return it, which seems to me to defeat the purpose of using the inadequate packaging. The egg timers come secured to a cardboard backing by a plastic shield. The cardboard arrived damaged and badly bent in one corner, and the plastic shield for one timer had torn off so that it was simply loose in this oversized bag. Fortunately, the egg timer itself doesn't seem damaged. I'll need to use them to verify that they are in fact in working condition.

Does work

Great egg timer better than a wall clock because it measures the temperature of the water itself. Really simple for young kids, however they tend to lose interest very quickly.... Boiling water can make it difficult to read

I use these all the time and they never disappoint ! Super easy to use and has been very accurate. It is also very cute.

This works every time for perfect boiled eggs.

I love these. I forget & walk away from my eggs for one reason or another & you ask yourself, “When did those eggs start to boil?” Not a problem with these. Just pop one in the water at the start & read the lines you’re at. When your’re done, rinse it of, let it cool & do it again.

I have to boil my eggs 5 minutes past the time for well done. It had a chemical order at first. It is smaller than my first one and flips over when boiling so I have to keep flipping it back over.
