I think the sound is fine but there is an issue when I play via the line input while I am using the most recent firmware version. At low volume the speaker switches off occasionally, when I turn the volume up it switches on again. It seems to have to do with auto power off but this is very annoying. If I had known that I would not have bought this speaker.
