The r8000 is only 47 grams lighter than my factory r7000 (105) cassette but shitting felt so much smoother. My bike came with Ultegra front and rear derailleurs but they gave me 105 cassette because it is more durable. When I bought a new pair of carbon wheelset, I bought this r8000 cassette and loving it. The shifting is smooth even in the middle of a hill climb. Worth every penny and Competitive Cyclist had it delivered on time and no damage on the package. I will probably buy another r8000 to permanently replace my r7000 on my training wheel.

My R9000 Dura Ace cassette fell apart after less than 5000 miles. I replaced it with this 11-30 ultegra cassette. It's about 60 grams heavier. I notice no difference between the two cassettes. Shifting is very smooth and quiet. This is a great buy.

Parts start to wear out over time. It's a slow process, so you don't realize at the time when your shifting starts to get worse. I swapped out a chain and was still getting some chain skip on the cassette and shifts were sometimes slow to respond. I looked up my mileage and had around 8k, so I was overdue. I picked up the 11-28 r8000 to go with my Dura 9000 parts. It was like getting a new bike again! So smooth. It works perfect with the older Dura Ace line.

Genuine Shimano cassette. I’m using this on my gravel bike paired with Ultegra chain and carbon wheels. I like the tighter gear spacing compared to a 32-12. I might suffer a bit more on steep hills but 99.9% of my riding is on the flats and some rollers.
