Great for induction cooktop
This is a very well made fry pan that I bought specifically because of the metal disc on the bottom. My all-clad pans don't seem to heat as evenly on my new induction cooktop, but this Fissler fry pan heats evenly. I'm sure it will last me, it is very well made!

Not a 3 or 5ply clad pan but…
*Update- added an Amazon link for a great quality tempered glass lid. I can confirm it does fits my Fissler 11” pan. https://a.co/d/ikqZVdQ I have an induction stove and Fisslers thick aluminum clad bottom has little chance of warping like my previous “all clad” stainless pan. It’s slower to reach temp but maintains it well after adding cold food. The higher sides are great for minimizing splatter when frying and it holds almost 3quarts for liquid heavy meals. You’ll appreciate the rivet less design on the very first cleaning
