I'm not diagnosed with anything but thought I'd look for something sleek and minimalistic to occupy myself with during downtime / during work. This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for out of a product.It's compact enough to go in your pockets, definitely silent as described and rolling it does feel like massaging your palms. The hand motion becomes second nature once you get used to it, it's satisfying in its own way. There's a nice weight on the aluminium version and the overall experience is like using an over-engineered toy in the best way possible.The only thing I feel the need to give a heads up about is the screws. At the time of posting there doesn't seem to be any FAQ response immediately available on the ONO website or much explanation of public forums.You get two 3mm hex keys included with the box. The screws are applied on what can be described as a threaded shaft for both rollers which turns independently from them, and [the screws] are thread locked (i.e. an adhesive coating has been applied to the screws to prevent them from loosening unintentionally). Practically this means the said shaft has it so turning one screw on one side makes the screw on the other side turn with it unless you have the other side secured, also preventing unintended loosening from using the roller.These are excellent measures against loosening which users of knock-off brands report about. Mine came in the box a tad loose on one side already. Let me say I've never fought screws *by hand* like I had to in order to tighten them here before, because the only way you can tighten or loosen them is to have both ends held down otherwise the screws won't turn independently of the shaft at all, and it's thread locked. The thread locking adhesive is definitely solid. I'd probably suggest using power tools instead of hands to tighten or loosen the screws because using the provided keys caused them to strip the screws when trying to do so by hand and it took all of my strength to remotely get them to budge - but once they do budge, they are significantly easier to turn from then onward. This is to be expected, since thread locking adhesives being tampered with usually requires a new coating to be applied.The moment force you apply (if looking at the screw from the top down) should cause the screw to rotate clockwise if you want to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen. If you're still unsure, take your right hand and make a thumbs-up with your thumb pointed in the direction the screw face is facing; imagine an arrow pointing from your back knuckle (big ones) to front knuckle (the ones rings go over) for which way you should turn the screw to make it go where your thumb is pointing. The way I had to set the keys up to tighten was sticking the key on the top screw pointing to my right, sticking the second key on the opposite screw at the bottom pointing to my left, placing the bottom key against a solid surface and pulling the top key towards my body as hard as I could to tighten them. I would probably recommend to do it counter-clockwise to loosen first, as loosening the screws is a lot more likely to be easier to do in order to get rid of the thread lock coat first WITHOUT stripping the screw before it loosens, but I'm not sure how durable the screws are given mine have stripped quite a bit- I don't mind it, but other people definitely will.Long story short, the only way you're loosening those screws is if you have both ends held down with the keys and enough moment force is applied to turn them, so don't worry about the thread lock coating if you ever need to tighten or loosen the screws. Do the thumb trick and turn the screw accordingly, recommend you loosen first instead of tightening straight away. Yes, at first they may not budge at all, I train four times a week and I had to use nearly full strength to get them to turn at first. Probably would suggest getting a power tool to do the turning for you.Final note that even if you do decide to turn the screws and affect the thread lock adhesive, those screws aren't loosening from using the roller afterwards unless you have both ends held down with the hex key bits, don't worry about them, they aren't going anywhere.Pricey, but worth every penny. Don't get the knock-offs. Hope the information about the screws helped anyone who needs to tighten, loosen or disassemble the roller. Long read, but better safe and informed than sorry in my book.

We have a fidgeted in the office and decided to buy them one of these.they are now inseparable, we tried fidget toys in the past and the last for a while but the fidgeter usually wins.This one is different, the feel and build quality is great, the fidgeter loves it and it does help them .if you know someone who likes fidget toys this will keep them happy for hours.

Didn't work for us. The roller seemed well made, but it made no difference to my teenage daughter and her finger picking/biting and so it was returned.

This is a great item for people who find having something to do with their hands helps with stress. I bought the metal one for my wife and she loves it. It isn’t heavy, but has a nice weighted feel to it and feels nice in your hands, rollers work smoothly and it comes with a set of Allen keys in case you want to tighten or loosen it a bit. It seems robust and comes with a nice bag as well. While perhaps a bit more expensive than other fidgets, I would recommend it and say it is worth that bit extra!

I take these things everywhere. At my desk, in public, even on the toilet as shown. Yes i did wash both my hands and the fidget after though I dont recommend soaking the fidget entirely as the bearings inside can rust (it does come with a hex so you can replace them if needed).These things are a joy to fiddle around with, and feel like they're built to last and are pretty hefty. The bearings feels slick and smooth and the aluminum is slightly textured. It doesn't stop it from sliding down your hand as you roll though, so youll need to adjust it often.Not a bad fidget, but not cheap either. The price for these are high, and these certainly are a luxury that dont help with concetration on problem tasks that much. I am diagnosed adhd, and I find these are only helpful when I need to socialize or walk around and need something to play with. I find something to squeeze is better for problem solving tasks, but each person is different.If you're sure you want to spend around 60 cad on something that will last, go for it. Its not a bad product, but it certainly isnt needed. Just wager if a ~weeks worth of food for 1 person is worth this thing.

Yes. Just yes.Seriously though, I had the black abs plastic Ono roller, but somehow lost it unfortunately. I decided I wanted to get another one, but this time opted for the aluminum purple one, in the smaller size (I think called junior size) as my hands are pretty small. It is exactly the width of my palm, which makes it perfect for me to hold.I must say that for me, the aluminum one was not only worth the bit of a higher price tag, but actually better for my personal relationship with anxiety. When first picked up, you can just feel the satisfying weight to it, and also it is cold, which helps me tremendously during my higher anxiety moments. I've even stuck it in the fridge to make it extra cold, and wow I can't even explain how satisfying it is to feel how cold it can be. But it's also nice because as I use it, it warms up fairly quickly. The temperature thing might seem a bit odd but let me tell you, it's made a huge difference in how much I enjoy using the Ono roller as opposed to the plastic one I lost. And again, the weight of the aluminum one is much more satisfying to me, whereas the plastic one is more lightweight I would say. Don't get me wrong - neither are "heavy", but with metal vs plastic, one is definitely more weighty (aluminum).It's true it's just overall fun to fidget with, but with my anxiety, it helps me expel nervous energy in a much less destructive way than biting my nails (lifelong bad habit). I love the color selections as well, but the purple choice made me super happy 💜. My son also loves using it and wants to hold it while doing his homework, or even just when he's talking or anything he's doing. Even at bedtime, he likes to hold it and roll it, which I think comforts him and helps him expel any of his last little bit of energy before bedtime.Overall, the aluminum one feels like such a sturdy roller, just as the plastic one did (it's not a cheap feeling plastic in my opinion and I highly recommend that one as well, I just prefer this aluminum one due to the tactile sensation of the cold and metal, whereas the plastic one is more tactile-neutral if that is preferable to others). The build of this thing is incredible, and it rolls flawlessly and sooooo smoothly, it feels like it will last forever. It's also a quiet fidget tool which was very important to me, the only sound that really occurs is the sound of your hand against it, which is easy to silence if you roll it slowly. The faster you spin it, the louder of a sound that happens, but even then it's not bad at all, just a little less discreet.I think I will always have one of these so long as the maker continues to produce them - they're that good.1000% recommend! ✨

Amazing fidget! So smooth and nice in hand.

I have several of the ONO fidget toys and I love them all. They are very high quality and silent. The roller comes in 2 sizes and I originally got the larger size in blue from the Kickstarter. I really wanted the purple and after trying the the regular size, I thought it was worth a shot trying the smaller size even though it was meant for kids. My hands are medium sized, so both sizes work for me, but I ended up giving the bigger one to my husband to use.
