This served it's purpose, which was helping my kids understand how to wait for a set amount of time (under an hour) for something. The visual helped them understand progression. It didn't stand up very well to my younger child spinning the dial over and over. The green film eventually caught on the rest of the clock face and now it won't operate. Recently had to throw it away. Not much is truly child proof and that's understandable.

I use the Secura 7.5 Inch Visual Timer in my classroom, and it has been a fantastic tool for both my students and me. Very sturdy magnet, the ticking is quiet enough not to be annoying but loud enough that my students know when it runs out.

Had it for a little less than a year and all of a sudden the visual timer part doesn’t work - but it consistently was worked before that. So tamper your expectations that this will last you a long while but it was nice while it lasted. I had it set up as the magnet attachment and that honestly never gave me issue unless I had to remove it - that magnet was strong! The alarm was also super loud which is helpful :)

Looks great and works great but very loud ticking per second which isn’t great for my noise sensitive students. I didn’t see anything about it in the description and the ones we already have at school are silent so I didn’t think twice to investigate it.
