The 3" Tungsten Cube

3inch Tungsten steel cube as I call it "Tungsten steel" alloy as contains 5% Iron, 5% Nickel the cube of 3inche is amazing ,heavy and hard metal in my Irish-German hands. Tungsten of pure or alloy is one of worlds density metal is truly strongest, hardest heavyweight metal in world. Titanium pure or alloy is worlds strongest, hardest lightweight ratio metal then any metal. Love Titanium & Tungsten T&T

So for complicated reasons I am familiar with tungsten. So I knew what I was buying. When I saw the smaller cubes I began purchasing them. The 1", the 2" and now the 3". Everyone has their own aesthetic but if you are intrigued by simple demonstrations of the extreme then you will be gratified when you own any of these cubes. Just looking at them and remembering the last time you picked them up is pleasing. They actually make a 4" cube which is quite expensive but I may actually purchase it. If you can part with the cash I recommend the biggest cube you can afford.

Its an 18.5 lb 3" cube. Very nicely done. The stand is nice, but feels like it could be easily crushed by the cube, if you are not careful. I understand the aesthetics. I like the minimalist look. It is perfectly safe in an adult environment. But we have cats. Although it is unlikely they will push it off the stand, if they did the consequences could be serious. It would be great if two stands were provided. An additional larger stand would be more stable for display so the could not be rotated out of the stand as easily.

We take gravity for granted, barely noticing it in daily life. This Tungsten specimen helps you to fully appreciate the power of this strange and still mysterious force. The 3" cube is almost too large and heavy to manipulate with one hand - the 2.5" version might be of optimal size in this regard. 95% Tungsten with an admixture of Iron and Nickel make the specimen slightly magnetic (which pure Tungsten is not), but pure Tungsten is difficult to work with and would make this sample even more expensive than it already is. Nonetheless : no regrets ! The piece is an aesthetically pleasing object and a compelling conversation starter.

It is fun to hand to people or to tell people to pick up. I'm not sure how I feel on the value yet but I assume I will have it the rest of my life. Very chonk. If you can't get this one highly recommend one of the smaller ones. THICC BOI!!

I wanted this for a long time, and what pushed me over the edge were the other reviews, mostly how often the other reviewers mentioned laughing when they pick it up. It's true, I laugh just about every time. I've taken it to parties and people laugh. Basically, all this cube does is sit there being extremely inconvenient and hard to destroy. It feels like something not of this world. I also have the 1.5" cube and it's a kick in the brainpan, but this thing is on a whole 'nuther level. Do NOT drop it unless you want a crater in the dirt or cracked floor tiles.
