I like this book so much, I bought a copy to give to my daughter for Christmas. I have a personal library of several thousand books. However, this book ranks in the top 5 of the most very special. It is very sturdy, beautifully bound with what appears to be linen coverings. The pages are heavy with a nice feel. Exqusite photography and engrossing narrative. This book would be appropriate as a gift for any occasion - wedding, graduation, Christmas, Mother or Father's Day, or to anyone who loves birds and the beauty of nature. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It brings a sense of wonder, second only to witnessing murmurations in person. Review: Still pictures don't capture the magic - After I saw this book and looked at the videos on YouTube I realized that much of the magic and charm is revealed in the coordinated movements of the huge flocks. The book may be interesting for those with a strict interest in photography, but perhaps not so much so for birders and those with broader interests.

Gorgeous photos that capture the shifting flocks of birds. You can practically hear the birds and see the movement in the photos. Gorgeous book.
