Hello the pack is very basic and does not feature electronic sounds or lights. The interior/back side has no back either.

Does the proton blaster m.o.d connect to this?

We have the pack, blaster and whistle and the two smaller items are compatible. The blaster hangs from a hook on one side & the whistle clips onto the other side.

Kids LOVE it.

Personally I think this is expensive for what it is- a plastic molded box that vaguely straps to a child’s back. It doesn’t come with the gun. What do I know though because my boys think they’re the best things pretty much ever. For that reason I give it 5 stars. It’s super durable (because it’s molded plastic) and I do like that they use their imagination to create a gun for it. Perfect accessory for the ghostbuster costumes their grandma had made for them.
