Sea of Stars - Nintendo Switch

This is a great throwback to all the old school RPG's from years ago. This game is so nostalgic, I immediately fell in love with it. The play style, the art/graphics, the story, dialog, everything reminds me of the retro golden age, and my childhood. Seem's like it's been a very long time since a game made me this excited and happy.The inspirations for this game seem to come from everything like Zelda, to Breath of Fire, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Phantasy Star, Final Fantasy Tactics, you pretty much name it. But it's still its own game, with some nice "modern" updates and twists. All the old great nostalgia is there, but has enough new things to make it unique, enjoyable and fresh. I love the art style. So vibrant and just beautiful.You can do anything in this game, but I love the exploring and fishing, by far. It is so satisfying it's not even funny. Time fly's when I play this game, to the point I actually have to set an alarm for myself, so I don't play all day (especially on the weekends). The combat is great. It's fun, and so far, has not become boring or tedious like some games. Even in combat you have a lot of options; the timed hits are fun, combos are engaging, different damage types, there is always something to keep you interested.This is just one of those games that you have to try for yourself to really understand everything that is so great about it. If you are an "older gamer" like me, you will love and appreciate everything about this game. My nieces and nephews are infatuated with this game. I got a copy for each system, so we all get to play, and they all love it. They are so excited. Some love to explore, one loved to collect items and cook, another loves to fish. There is literally everything in this game to satisfy anyone. Enough fanboying, I really hope this helps anyone interested in this game.

Bought this critically acclaimed RPG after all the hype, and it completely delivers! The physical cartridge arrived in flawless condition, and the gameplay is an absolute love letter to 90s RPGs – but with gorgeous modern polish.

Sea of Stars is an amazing game, and I loved playing it on the PS5. I ended up buying it on the Switch for my 10-year-old, and it’s just as fantastic on this platform. The retro-inspired graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is a perfect mix of classic turn-based combat and modern design.The story is engaging, the characters are memorable, and the puzzles add a nice layer of challenge without being frustrating. It’s the perfect balance of fun and depth, making it great for kids and adults alike. Highly recommend for anyone who loves RPGs!

Honestly a really good game, not for me, but good. I feel like some of the acolytes were a little over blown. Highly reccomend if you are jnto turn based games though.

This game was very enjoyable. They could easily extend this game and make a few more depending on whose storyline they want to cover. Graphics could have been better, but I believe it is a remake of an older computer game. It also has a demo if you want to try it before buying

Everything about this game screams nostalgia but it's well executed and was a blast to play. Lovable characters, beautiful artwork and fun sound design and music. A true 5 Star package.
