Review: Great Battery - Used a smaller version of this battery and it lasted at least three years, weighing in at 35.5 pounds. The newer version I recently purchased was wider and heavier at 45.5 pounds in weight. This heavier battery was installed in my wife's 2003 Audi TT and had no problem although it's wider by about an inch. The left side plastic battery case cover was left unhinged from the backside plastic cover, but the side cover portion stayed in place regardless of not being hinged. No doubt the bigger battery will last a long time. It's a heavy battery to lift, but it does have "handles" on the top to aid in lifting. Battery arrived in good condition; double boxed.
Review: Works great in 2014 maxda 3 with ieloop - We have a 2014 mazda 3 hatchback with ieloop and i was very concerned about changing the battery as there were lots of comments about needing a specific type of mazda battery or needing the dealer to do it. I replaced it with this battery and performed the recommended procedure you can find online (essentially after you install the battery you turn the car on and pump brakes a certain number of times disconnect and reconnect the battery) i dont remember the whole procedure but it was not that complicated. We have been running with this battery now for well of 6 months and have had no problems. Highly recommend.

**Q: On the diehard batteries,  when did.they stop the lifetime warranty?  That was always why my family only bought diehard, just like the craftman tools.**
A: I don't know when they stopped. but Diehard batteries did originally carry a lifetime warranty. My best friend replaced his OEM battery in a 1971 GTO wiyh a Diehard and had the battery replaced several times at no cost through Sears. At some point they started giving him grief about doin it, but he had kept all the documentation for the original sale and warranty and Sears honored it for more than 15 years before he sold the car.

**Q: Re. 3 year direct replacement by amazon. how is the dead battery proven? does the dead battery have to be shipped back to amazon? shipping charges?**
A: Just got off the chat with technical support.  In order to get the replacement battery, you need to drive to the closest Sears or K-Mart in person with your Amazon order printed out.  Or if you complain to Amazon support, they will give a few dollars back without having to do anything with the dead battery (he offered $74 if I shut up. The battery failed after 11 months, so I should have gotten at least the prorated value of the 25/36 months remaining in the warranty.)  Note that most of the Sears and K-Marts around the country have closed, so good luck finding one.

**Q: Will this battery work for a generac 22,000 kw generator?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry.  Although battery, model 38275 is designed to work on automotive applications, it appears to meet two of the three requirements needed for your generator.  It does contain more than 540 CCA and it is a 12V, but you should confirm the application with GENERAC.

### ⭐ Great for the first year, dead on the second

I picked up this battery because on paper it was as good as an Optima and came in a bit cheaper. Less than 2 years later it won't hold a charge. Now I know it's not the truck's fault, I put my very old optima in there 6 months ago and it's held up very well even sitting for a couple months at a time. Now all that being said, despite having a 3yr warranty I have yet to have anyone honor it. The nearest sears (over an hour drive) no longer stocks it, and the new local distributer won't honor anything that was not purchased through them. So now I have a $200 paper weight in my garage and bought a shiny new optima for my truck as I should have done in the first place. If you are going to get one of these, be sure to buy it local so you can exchange it when it goes bad.
