What is the difference between certified pesticide free pecans and organic pecans?

The certified organic pecans are jumbo size pecans grown in an orchard.  The certified pesticide free are native pecans not planted in an orchard but wild harvested where they naturally grow.  The  natives are much smaller with more flavor and the most oil of any pecan. Because they are harvested over a wide area, they cannot be certified organic in the usual method, so at the suggestion of the rawfoodWorld.com we had them tested and certified free of eight pages of pesticides.   The natives do not require irrigation or spraying. Organic certification allows the use of organic pesticides.

Curing is allowing the pecans to sit in ambient air out of direct sun.  During this time they dry naturally and lose excess moisture and a "green" taste they have without curing so that they are ready for shelling.   All our products, both fresh and sprouted, are raw. David, owner PecanShop.com

They are not pasteurized. Also, because they were grown wild they don't have to be sprayed with any pesticide which increases their nutritional value. In this case, we think they are better than certified organic.

How can these be "shelled to order" if they are  "sold by pecan shop and fulfilled by amazon"?

Hi there.  Please show me if the listing says "shelled to order." We keep them refrigerated in shell, shell them only as needed, keep refrigerated, package them with oxygen removed, and ship to amazon.  They warehouse and then  fulfill fba orders on amazon by shipping to customers.  In the summer heat, you might want to consider ordering direct from us to avoid the warehouse and extra trucking time for maximum freshness, and get them right in your fridge when you receive them.
