Stanley Master Series Hip Flask 8oz

I absolutely love this flask. Living and going to college in Kentucky, I’ve had several flasks, usually with about a 1-2 year lifespan. This is hands down the best one I’ve ever held in my hand, much less owned. Capacity is great, build quality is excellent, and the powder-coated finish will likely last through years and years of use. The best trait has to be the wide mouth with threads on the inside instead of the mouth. It makes drinking much more comfortable, without the risk of cutting your mouth or lips on even the slightest metal snag from cheaper flasks. Machine washable even! My ONLY complaint Is that after cleaning it, it’s difficult to get that last few drops of water out of the bottom. I usually just shake it as best I can, and leave the cap open for about a day or two to evaporate - no big deal. Makes a great gift. Have purchased another already for my father.

Size wise this flask was the perfect little water bottle (or whisky flask) for my purse. Weight wise, it was too much. The shipping weight, 9.6 oz., more than half a pound, is the product weight and add 8 oz. of liquid and you're up to just shy of 18 oz., more than a pound to carry. It's very well made and unlike others who commented on the smooth cap, I didn't have a problem opening and closing it. The color is accurate to the photo so the olive drab isn't so drab but a light, soft green. For anyone, I'd definitely recommend it for a backpack or heavy coat; for men, okay with a fleece or waterproof athletic jacket but I think it's going to be obvious in the pocket of your nice sports jacket or coat and not in a good way.

This flask is awesome. It's metal and has a metal cap...not a crappy plastic one. The cap also stays attached so you don't lose it, which is a perk to me. Also, this has a wide mouth, so no funnel needed to fill it. It also is slightly curved so it is comfortable if you want to conceal it. ;) I'm a believer in Stanley's master series. However, their new line of classic suck...don't waste your money on those. Spend the extra for the master series, you will not be disappointed. The green color I purchased was perfect too. It's true OD green.

Everything about this flask is perfect. It's been with me on many trips. The wide mouth opening, heavy duty stainless steel and powder coated color is all great. It just needs some knurling on the cap. Opening it with cold or wet hands is basically impossible.
