It takes 4x AA batteries (not provided) which are easy to install. You need to attach the fan to the hole in the costume, it comes with easy to follow instructions. The only thing I find is that with having a zip at the back I need to have someone to zip it up for me and again to unzip when finished. Having bingo wings and rugby players thighs I didn't need to tighten the arms or leg holes! I was also able to sit down in the costume which was great. Ordered with prime and it arrived the very next day, which was fantastic as it was only 5 days to Easter!! This bunny costume went down a treat, the kids absolutely loved it and the grown ups thought it hilarious!
