Simple Grinder That Gets the Job Done
I realized I needed the Hamilton Beach Fresh Grind Coffee Grinder after a recent trip where I picked up some great coffee beans. Grinding them somewhere else made me see how much fresher the coffee tastes when you do it yourself, so I decided it was time to get a grinder at home. I ordered it while waiting for my return flight home. This one is simple and straightforward. The size is compact, the lid is easy to use, and the grind is consistent enough for everyday brewing. It does not take up much space on the counter, and cleanup is quick. So far, it has done exactly what I needed. It grinds the beans quickly and gives me that fresh taste I was missing. For anyone who wants an easy way to grind beans at home without dealing with anything complicated, this is a solid choice.

Great value for money: Fast, uniform, and highly efficient grinding
We use it primarily for grinding coffee beans, and the results are spectacular. The blades spin with great power and speed, allowing intuitive control over the coarseness of the grind based on pulse duration. Beyond coffee, the motor output is ideal for processing dry spices, quickly achieving homogeneous textures without overheating the beans or compromising their aromas. It takes up very little counter space, is easy to clean, and the build quality feels solid. For such an affordable price tag, the performance and quality it delivers are hard to beat.

I love it.
I’ve had it for about a week, I’ve used it every morning since I got it. I’m totally happy with it. It says it’s a lot quieter than other brands, I’d believe that it is. Obviously it’s not silent but it’s probably 1/3 as loud as an average blender, so it’s decent. It’s quick and easy to use, put your beans in, put the cap on, push the button a few times to grind em up, maybe one longer burst to really get them ground. Things you should know/other people’s complaints: Someone said that it’s “no good, it leaves chunks of beans”. This doesn’t happen to me, but my guess is that they’re not grinding the beans enough or they’re somehow over filling it. While grinding you can tip it upside down in between bursts of the motor to mix it around better. “It makes a mess, coffee grounds everywhere!” The cap is a cup. When your coffee beans (or spices) are fully ground, tip it upside down and pull the machine out of the cap, and you won’t spill anything. “The motor burnt out after just a few uses” so obvisouly I haven’t had this for more than a week so I can’t yet say it should last forever. It probably won’t, but for $15 if I have to buy a new one every year or two, I can live with that. It could’ve also just been a faulty unit... stuff happens. BUT basically don’t just hold down the button so the motor and blades spin continuously. In stead to short bursts like you’re revving a motorcycle... this will break the big pieces into smaller pieces, and shoot them around and mix them up so the blades aren’t working so hard. Then after a few bursts when it’s mostly ground up, you can hold it a bit longer to make sure there aren’t chunks left. I like my coffee a little coarse (its definitely not espresso ground... see photos). “The cord is too short”... yeah the bottom is also a cap that pulls straight down and then you can unwrap the power cable. Though, even unspooled, the cord is pretty short... it’s the only thing I don’t like about this device... it can only be about a foot from an outlet. I deal with it, but it’s the one thing I would change about it. For a cheap, tabletop grinder I don’t see how it could be beat. It’s pretty easy to clean (the top washes just like a cup, and the part where the beans sit on the blades pulls out like a cup as well). It works great and I’m totally satisfied for what it is.

Hamilton Beach item is Great
This is a great item. After having neck surgery on 4-21-2026 I lost the use of my right arm plus being disabled I use a wheelchair. This product is easy to use one handed. I am not a left handed person but I could operate this grinder with ease, I ground 2 1/2 (16oz) bags. Clean up is an ease. I highly recommend Hamilton Beach coffee/spice grinder.

Perfect cup with HB recommendations. Dont overuse beans
Fast, quiet and small. Many will say you need to grind two full container batches of beans for 12-cups when the manufacturer recommends one batch. I tested, and ONE batch works for me perfectly. More ramblings: Apparently I like a lighter brew, which I think is closer to Dunkin or our local Wawa stores. I struggled with the math of how many beans to use to make a 12 cup pot. it gets tricky as the carafe measures in 6ozs, most use 8 ozs for measuring what a coffee cup us when reality is we all use 11 or 15 oz cups. Then some online guidelines use grams and weight, or tablespoons when I have a nice 1/4 cup measuring spoon. I simply wanted a repeated process "to make full pot of coffee how many beans do I grind?" After invoking the soul of Einstein I found that it takes a LOT of coffee to make that full pot based on many online suggestions, effectively two full grind containers. you'll see many reviews here further confirming that "Have to grind twice". I'll say I am using very basic Green Mountain Breakfast Blend beans, same we used in K-cups. And the double batch recipe created a coffee that was black as the darkest night. Darker than anything I had seen in any cafe all over the US. Looked like used motor oil, and tasted VERY strong. Hmmmm. So I'll say that I did this test even tho this grinder's cup has bean fill level markings which clearly indicated 12 cups... as being one batch of grindign, not two. I also realized my wife and I were drinking weaker coffee anyway with the K-cups. Its the same single k-cup and we are using a 15oz mug, which would be 1/2 the amount of regular grinds. The purist would say my 15oz cup requires TWO k-cups. But again with the beans I tried the recommendations of all the roasters and coffee shops... and I got motor oil looking coffee. So finally I brewed a new pot. 12 cup full pot and used ONE grind from this grinder. And the coffee was great. I dont even need a measuring spoon... just pour into the grinder cup close to the top. Done. Just like in craft beers there are people who appreciate a high ABV dark stout beer. Me? I am a light lager guy. I am sure there are people who buy beans from all over the world and like a dark dark brew. Me? I'm a light "morning convenience store" coffee drinker But then I wonder if this (mis)information of using so much coffee beans is put out by the industry to convince the consumer into spending so much more coffee than what the average drinker is used tu? Long story short to save you the research and math. The experts and the math says for a standard 12-cup pot you need to run TWO full grind containers. The manufacturer says one. Try both and see what you like. Plus my plan of just one.. 1/2 the cost of beans

Was good while it last.
I loved it until it stopped working. I brought this May 1, 2026 and today August 23, 2026 it started to smoke from the bottom. I only used it 4 times and it went from quiet grinding to loud grinding. It was an affordable grinder for once in a blue moon use but now it smokes and is loud. It was also easy to clean and loved the end results after the grind.

Electric coffee grinder
Very simple but effective.the longer you hold the switch the finer the grind. Now , to be clear ,I’m using it to grind egg shells for the garden which it does a superb job. 10 seconds for powder. Quite confident it will grind coffee beans just as efficiently. Got it as a used item so the price was right.

Sirve para moler
Sirve para moler, pero no deja muy fina la molida de semillas. La probé con el comino negro, y a pesar de que si lo molió, no lo dejó como polvo.

Great small coffee grinder
This Hamilton beach coffee grinder is a perfect match for the coffee maker. The beans are grinded fast and easy to use. I like that the blade housing and the cover are removable and the power cord is hidden at the bottom which makes it easy to clean after every time being used. This is a winner for me. Yes I recommend this with a four star.
