The slightest touch of the phone screen will move one of the tripod legs and the thing just topples over. I had trouble getting it to stand on its own, and then hold its form on my kitchen table! There is no way this thing can stand on its own in bed, as advertised. After I was able to get it to stand, I had a hard time trying to get the phone level. Every time I tried to level the screen, on the the tripod legs moves, and again, falls over due to the weight of the phone. Also, the smell from the stand is terrible. Typical, plastic/rubbery, chemical smell that stings my nose. I gave it two stars because it does stand eventually, but it's very difficult to set your phone level. It is a bit off kilter at best. It definitely doesn't stand on my mattress. I want to return it but it came in a cardboard box with other items I ordered, which means I need to pay for a small padded envelope to pack and return this thing. I will use it for a day or two and reconsider and update this review. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars It's not necessary to hold my phone. *by R***Z on Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2018* I find the Bed Buddy very helpful. I watch Netflix and Amazon Prime a lot on my iPhone 8+ and with the Bed Buddy I don't have to hold my phone. I can just set it on a flat surface. I'm really glad that I bought it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Handy! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2018* Simple, easy to use phone holder tripod. Small and flexible for almost any surface. I bought the mr. bed buddy too for a friend, cute! I use my phone a lot to video chat and need a stable place to park it. Hands off and no more propping. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/60219259-mr-bed-buddy-tripod-flexible-phone-stand-holder-with-mount](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/60219259-mr-bed-buddy-tripod-flexible-phone-stand-holder-with-mount) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
