Is this Lemon cented?

I would agree with Ronald. It doesn't have much scent, but it smells a little of oranges if anything. I actually prefer a pure product without added scent and so this works great for me.

Yes it is. It is food grade, and I purchased it specifically because it was food grade and edible.

Does this take the smell out of washing machines?

I used it in both the dishwasher and clotheswasher. Worked really well in the dishwasher, it was really smelling musty before and now smells like it is new, but I have a filter that I cleaned first. The clothes washer smelled better, but not like new and it wasn't quiet as clean looking. Ran both with the citric acid and nothing else. Then ran both again with detergent only.
