It's a piece of plastic with a tin lid. The thing I like least is that you are left with a puddle of water in the container after the egg have boiled. The settings dial is wildly inaccurate, and it has taken me about a dozen eggs to get a soft-boiled one. The on-off switch is difficult to use without tipping the whole thing up. Otherwise, it performs as advertised, but beware of the settings; approximate, to say the least. At £80, it is disgracefully overpriced. Oh, and it comes with a euro plug, so factor in an adapter. But it does, in fairness, work when you figure it out.

Nel mio caso non sono mai riuscita ad ottenere cotture omogenee, spesso bollendo più uova insieme mi è capitato che si rompessero sbattendo tra loro. Ho voluto provare questo prodotto per avere un migliore risultato. Il timer interno avverte quando le uova sono pronte e farle raffreddare è molto semplice: si estrae la griglia in cui sono inserite e le si lava sotto il rubinetto oppure le si lascia raffreddare sul ripiano. Mi ha stupito molto positivamente la bassa quantità d'acqua che serve per la cottura: poco più di 1 tazzina di caffè, normalmente ne usavo circa 1 litro. Occupa anche poco spazio sul ripiano, l'ingombro è circa quello di un mezzo bollitore, quindi è contenuto.

Excellent cuiseur à oeufs (et j'en ai eu d'autres): 1. Petite taille mais grande contenance; 2. Cuve toute en inox et facile à laver 3. Le pose oeuf a des 'pattes' et une poignée qui permettent de retirer l'ensemble (avec les oeufs dessus) sans se brûler et d'un seul coup 4. Couvercle en inox et peu de vapeur 5. Thermostat intégré 6. Et surtout: cuisson parfaite! Il y a en particulier des degrés intermédiaires à l'intérieur de chaque catégorie (à la coque, mollet, dur) donc on peut vraiment ajuster au mieux. Vaut tout à fait la dépense.
