Very helpful during several power outages due to severe weather. Holds a charge, is easy to use, pretty durable and tough…. Size is nice and flashlight built in is very helpful The radio works and the wind up is nice in case of extended power outage. Solar charges slow like they all do but is helpful also! Over all very happy!!!

I purchased this solar radio so I'd specifically have the USB-C connector to be able to charge my phone during tropical hurricanes and winter freezes when the power grid goes out for days. I needed a way to communicate with the outside world and hear weather alerts. This was the perfect device.The first order, the USB-C connections didn’t work. I returned for it for another one and that one arrived just in time for me to be hit by hurricane Beryl where I lost power for 8 days. This device was so helpful and did exactly what it said it would. I was able to charge the device outside or in the widow and keep my phone working (the only reason I bought it), get the weather alerts, hear the radio, which was Loud and Clear, and the flashlights were nice to have too.I was so excited about this purchase…. and then it all changed the second time I needed it. I took it camping. The first night I was able to charge my phone100% with the USB-C connection and the solar power from the device. The next day I put it out in the sun to recharge itself but then that night, the USB connections stopped working completely and wouldn't charge anything! Failure, yet again, with the USB-C plugs. I was very, very disappointed, not to mention I was stranded without a phone since I couldn't charge it now.It’s a great radio when everything works. The first time I ordered, the USB connection didn't work. On the second, replacement order, the connections worked one (1) time. I've only had the solar radio for three months but the return time expired. So, I'm stuck with a device I can't use for what I specifically bought it for and as a result I wasted my money. I am willing to try a third one, one last time, because that's how much I liked it - WHEN IT WORKED CORRECTLY. I requested an exchange for a third try, but no response from anyone.If you're looking at this item, and you need USB-C connections, you might try something else because that feature on this model seems to be a problem.
