My Baby Figured These Out Right Away!
I was so impressed with these training cups! My baby immediately loved them and figured out how to drink from the straw much faster than I expected. The squeeze feature really helps teach the concept of using a straw, and after just a little practice, my little one had the hang of it. The cups are lightweight and easy for little hands to hold, and I appreciate that they’re spill-resistant. They have held up well to everyday use, and cleanup is simple since they’re dishwasher safe. If you’re transitioning your baby from bottles or traditional sippy cups to a straw cup, I highly recommend giving these a try. They made the learning process much easier than I anticipated and have quickly become one of our favorite cups.

Awesome first cup for babies!
I love these straw cups! Once my son started solids at 6 months, we decided to try him on a straw cup to make sure he was staying hydrated enough throughout the day, as recommended by his pediatrician. I wasn’t sure how long it would take for him to get the hang of it since he hadn’t even taken a bottle since the newborn days. I kid you not, this cup taught him how to drink from a straw within a day or two. It’s super helpful that you can squeeze a little bit of water into the straw to give them kind of a head start with their first sip. I love that the straw itself is thick enough to withstand my teething little dude’s chomping, while also remaining flexible and soft in case he misses his mouth and pokes his face. The cup itself is pretty leak proof. It’ll drip a bit if there’s water in the straw, but won’t cause a huge mess. I also very much like that you can see exactly how much water is in the cup to make sure they’re drinking enough. Great quality and you really can’t beat the price for three!

Easy use! Leakproof! Cute!
This Squeeze & Sip Cup is a great little cup for helping babies practice drinking from a straw! The squeeze feature makes it easier for little ones to learn how to get the liquid up through the straw. It’s a good size for small hands, has an easy-to-grip design, and comes in really cute colors. Oliver loved using it and caught on quickly! Ita ever leak proof! It’s a simple, practical cup that I would definitely recommend for babies learning to drink from a straw.

Excellent Transition Cup with Smart Design - Minor Spill Trade-off for Great Learning Tool
As a parent navigating the transition from bottle to straw drinking, I found The First Years Straw Cups to be an outstanding training tool that made the learning process surprisingly smooth. What Makes These Cups Effective: Innovative Squeeze Feature: The genius of this cup is the ability to gently squeeze it to push liquid up through the straw, teaching your baby the mechanics of straw drinking. Within days of consistent use, my child understood the concept and began drinking independently without any prompting. This hands-on teaching method is far more effective than just hoping they figure it out. Safety-Conscious Design: The soft, flexible straw tip is gentle on tender gums and emerging teeth. I appreciate that there’s no hard plastic poking around in my baby’s mouth during this oral development stage. Easy Maintenance: Dishwasher safe components make cleanup effortless—a must-have feature for busy parents dealing with multiple cups throughout the day. Value: At this price point, you’re getting excellent quality without the premium cost of some competitor brands. I felt comfortable buying multiple cups to keep in different locations. One Design Consideration: Due to the straw configuration, liquid remains in the upper portion of the straw after drinking rather than draining back down. This means minor spills can occur when the cup is tipped or opened, especially in diaper bags. However, this is a small trade-off for the effective learning mechanism. I simply ensure the cup is upright when transporting or keep it in a sealed pocket. Bottom Line: These cups successfully bridged the gap between bottle and independent straw drinking for my child. The squeeze-to-teach feature is invaluable, and the minor spill issue is manageable with basic precautions. Highly recommend for the 6-12 month transition period.

Great for learning to use straw cups, not spill proof
I wanted a variety of cups for my little and gave these a try. We had already been using other straw cups but I can definitely see why these would be great for learning how to. They are easy to clean and only 4 parts. Light weight but not cheap feeling. They’re durable as my little loves throwing them haha. Super easy to use the straw and if you gently squeeze the size, the water will move up the straw. They definitely aren’t spill proof due to the easy to squeeze design and the water can spill out just with sitting out untouched. Overall, a great cup for toddlers!

Great to Learn how to Use a Straw! And Using at 18 months old!
These were pivotal when teaching my son to use a straw, helped immediately with the squeeze aspect. Easy cleaning in the dishwasher, lightweight and portable for use in a diaper bag and in car seat cup holder. He’s now 18 months and still uses these daily. We tried Munchkin brand and those leaked more, lids broke, the Nuby brand had a too-large sippy cup nipple and would get milk crud stuck between the cracks of the nipple. These were the best value and kept the milk and water portions for his age. We’ve had these now for over 6 months and we wash and use these daily. Fits his hands and will continue to use these!

Special Needs Toddler
I have purchased ALOT of cups and this was the only one my 2.5 year old drank from. I had the teddy bear cup, the 360° cup, spouted cups etc. For context we are in Occupational Therapy amongst other therapies and this cup was recommended to me by the O.T. She initially had difficulty squeezing the cup to make the liquids rise through the straw for a few days so I assisted her but she got the hang of things quickly and is able to drink independently. I HIGHLY recommended this cup especially for parents with kids who may have oral/mouth weakness like my toddler and have difficulties with drinking. I also love that its spill-proof. She drops it and it doesnt leave a mess behind. The colors are nice as well. Shes pre-verbal and I love that it comes with multiple colors so I was able to "designate" a color for milk, one for water and juice. She will bring the color cup to me that she wants to drink :) saying all of this to say... buy it!! It really helped me ween her from sippy cups easiest ♡

Kids cup
Got these for when my kid was learning to wean off a bottle! His daycare teacher recommended and it worked like a charm. He was having trouble with the concept of drinking out of a straw and since you can squeeze these it helped the concept click for him. They don’t really leak, the straw is pretty easy to clean, they are pretty small so perfect for babies transitioning to toddler stage.
