Simple and wonderful

I have bought a number of nano filters like this in the past. All around the same price range. I know what I am paying for. This is the worst of the lot. - the acrylic pipe fittings are of poor tolerances. As such it does not seal properly while lifting up the water. This results in poor suction and heavy noise. - there is wasted space in the catchment area; its capacity is smaller than it appears. - the rotor tolerances are so bad that this is one of the slowest to start the cycle. A lot of these nano filters cannot start after a power failure. I know that. This one, it simply takes over 5 minutes of carefully pouring water from top for it to get started. - the cap on top rattles. Again poor acrylic mould tolerances. I am sure this is a very good product at one thing: PROFIT FOR VAYINATO. I’m sure this would be one of the cheapest landed cost from China. So, high margin.

Doesn't clean the tank at all But suitable for betta fish tanks

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Bought it for the cost. It is Noisy when priming but slowly reduces and runs silently. The trick is you need to ensure there is not air in the pump. Of course you have to fill it with water at each startup like all HOB filters. The inlet stands just inch above the bottom of my 7 inch tall tank. As long as it runs i found the tank to be clear so I guess it does the job for small tanks.

I ordered 2 for my Nanos. Running efficiently 24/7 for the last 3 weeks. Pros: - Transperant shell looks neat. - Compact and practical. - Silent operation. Cons: - Filtration material quality is average. Also sponge size is really small. - Need to prime everytime you restart. - Don't know how long the motor will last as it's running 24/7. I will update long term review later. Thanks

Quality is nice. It is silent. Does the job. Add 2 ceramic rings and aquarium wool, you will get clear water.

1st month it worked well and then slowly it didnt filtered as it used to...even after cleaning the sponge and everything.... In the end it stopped working and doesn't turn on now

Sorry I didn't bother to focus on the product. Because it's a duck. It's not for a small size tank. It's for a nano size tank. It's very small. It has an asthetic look but logically it just pumps the same water again and again in your tank. It means recirculation and no oooooo any filteration. I will try some DIY. My advice. Don't buy it. Waste of money. If you want good filter you must spend. Approx 2k. These cheap things are just mimics. 1 star for amazon delivery. 2 star for asthetic look.
