Gotoh Wilkinson/ VS-100N Tremolo Satin Chrome

I've been using this make and model professionally for several years and love it. The pivot points don't last forever and I bought a new one to replace the trem on my #1 guitar. It's very low profile and has a very comfortable feel to it. I love that the saddles all lock down. This gets rid of any tiny bits of movement which might rob a bit of sustain and tone. Far superior to Fender's own 2 point trem and worlds above their old vintage 6 screw model. Oh, and it retros into Fender's 2 point screws posts. makes it a great upgrade for your Strat. I also have a roller nut and locking tuners to try to reduce having to check tuning during a show. It's a wonderful trem. Get it!

Very well engineered tremolo. The two Strats that I modified both use this same model of tremolo. I've found that it makes setting up a guitar painless and allows for maximum playability for my preferred slow-hand guitar style.

It's better than a Wilkinson tremolo, but it's still a Wilkinson design. It's ok, but not great. But take that with a grain of salt, since I generally don't like tremolos anyway.

This is a good vibrato for subtle pitch manipulation. It's built very well and I love the way you can lock the saddles after action and intonation adjustments. I'm not a big "dive-bomber" so it's perfect for me. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 stars because the instructions aren't very good. I've been working on guitars for over 20 years so I don't really need instructions, but other players out there may need better instructions, so I'm thinking of those folks when I give it 4 out of 5 stars. :)

This is the only vibrato unit I will use. Right now, I have 4 of them installed and love them. The engineering of these units is great. This is what makes them so smooth and dependable. Excellent product!
