Perfect Fit
This was not an easy job. After removing the laptop bottom cover you need to disconnect the battery connector. Then disconnect the wire plugs that go to the screen panel next to the hinges. One of those wire plugs has a hinged plastic top that flips up to disconnect. Take pictures with your phone of where wires are routed & plugged in. After removing the LCD panel from the old lid panel you will need a picture of how the wires & Camera behind LCD panel are routed before you transfer them & the tape pieces to the new panel. I also loosened the spring tension on both hinges with a 13/64" tiny automotive ignition wrench, before I removed the screws from the hinges. These panels break at the back panel hinges because the hinges spring tension is too tight & the bottom of the back cover is designed to lift the bottom of the laptop for fan ventilation clearance. I attached two 1 inch rubber pads on the bottom of the laptop at the hinges so that it stays raised & the bottom of the lid cover doesn't make contact when I open it. I hope that loosening the hinges spring tension & adding the lifting pads to the bottom will keep this panel from breaking.

Good replacement parts, everything you need is included
I was previously certified by Dell to perform this work on behalf of my employer, and now work for a Dell partner/reseller on the sales side... So my review is in that context. I do think they should provide replacement screws, along with tape strips, so those don't need to be re-used, but it worked fine. My kid had a ... Problem, lets say.... resulting in the entire plastic assembly on this Dell laptop being destroyed (front bezel broken in multiple places, hinges broken out of the top cover). Remarkably, the display panel was unharmed. My first stop was Dell, but as this computer is out of warranty, the options were limited and expensive. I did find the required parts elsewhere, but availability was such that I was ordering pieces from a couple different sources. This kit came with all the required parts, except the screws, which I re-used from the broken plastics, and seems to be functionally equivalent to the original, great quality, no problems. I will say this project is not for the faint at heart. Start by removing the bottom cover of the computer, disconnecting the display cable and antennas, and carefully un-winding those cables back to the hinges, then removing the hinges from the computer, thus detaching the entire display from the computer. If that doesn't scare you off, you have a chance of completing this job. The next step is to remove the bezel, and extract the display panel from the top cover, taking care of the cables, and specifically the camera. Then do the same with the antennas, carefully saving the tape securing the cables (you'll be re-using the same tape). Finally, remove the hinges (specifically the screws), and install in the new top cover (I actually re-used the old hinges, although the new ones look just as good). Re-install the antennas into the new top plastic, routing the cables as they were, secure the camera, and re-install the display panel. This is a bit tricky to get the order right, the display should snap in and fit firmly, flat in the cover. Now you can snap the bezel on, making sure the camera is aligned with the hole. Attach to the computer, and again this is tricky since the screws go into the bottom. Route the display and antenna cables as they were, making sure everything is secured under the original tabs, and re-connect, being careful of the display cable connector. That should be it -- re-install the bottom cover, and you're done. Again -- probably not something a beginner should take on without help, but if you've read this far, you might be OK. Its easier than a system board replacement, easier than some keyboard replacements I've done.

Perfect fit, easy replacement!
Perfect replacement for fixing the hinges on my wifes laptop. Followed a youtube video and about 30 minutes later fixed. I got a quote for $300 to fix it, this was way easier and cheaper. Packaging was really good and arrived on time. If the hinge broke on your laptop, buy this!

If I bought the right one maybe.
This is ify. Make sure you get the right thing. My screen is not the original so ended up with something that didn't really work and couldn't put back together.

Easily fits but lacks directions and screws.
Price at time of review: $47.78 Quality: 4/5 Value: 4/5 While this fit the back cover perfectly, I would have loved to have an instruction manual. I'm unsure if mine was left out or they just don't bother including one but I struggled for a good 30 minutes trying to get this on correctly. I was so worried I would ruin the actual computer. The hinges fit great, however this didn't include the screws so I had to buy new ones, which weren't cheap.

Perfect FIT
Had to replace the hinges and a bezels on my mother in-laws laptop after a hinge stuck and damaged it all. This was a great replacement. I do wish it came with the tape to secure cables but with some careful planning and effort I was able to save the old stuff. This was a perfect fit! Would buy another if ever needed.
